Surazal, first of all thank you for what i'm sure is a great mod that I'll enjoy very much.

I'm sorry to inform you, however, that it contains a (resolvable) game-stopping issue for users who 1) install the Frostcrag plugin, and 2) use an "alternative" Frostcrag (I had the issue following with Frostcrag Revisited; I don't know if it also would affect users of Frostcrag Reborn).

Long story short: if the DLCFrostcragVWalk plugin is used in tandem with the replacement DLCFrostcrag plugin provided by Frostcrag Revisited, the game will not start (hangs somewhere between the logo screens and the main menu-- for me it was at the copyright notice, which started to fade out but hung-- where exactly is probably dependent on the length of one's load order).

After tracking the issue down to DLCFrostcragVWalk specifically, I looked at both it and Frostcrag Revisited in TES4Edit and the problem was immediately clear. Frostcrag Revisted replicates much of the Frostcrag ESP, so Aurelinwae-- and her AI packages, and her new faction-- all have different formIDs than what your mod expects from the original. So the data record does not match (lots of "could not resolve" errors), and naturally the game engine chokes (no surprise at all, once you see it laid out in TES4Edit).

It's relatively easy for someone experienced with TES4Edit to resolve-- just conform the NPC record and her subrecords to the correct formID from the alternate Frostcrag ESP, but it was hard as heck to track down in the first place.

So I would request that-- since your mod is already so neatly OMOD-ready (thanks!-- even if you're not going to put in an alternate DLCFrostcragVWalk for at least the two popular Frostcrag replacements, that you at least add an If DialogYesNo to ask whether the user is using such a replacement (if DLCFrostcrag.esp is detected), and if the user says yes they are, do not install DLCFrostcragVWalk.esp. I think the world will survive Aurelinwae not having a sexy walk, if it makes the difference between the game starting, or not starting :) .

Anyway, thanks again, looking forward to seeing all the varied walks now that I've gotten this all straightened out :) .

Many thanks for this terrific feedback and for sharing your analysis. I think this simplest solution will be to add support for Frostcrag Revisited because it will be very quick to do and maintain the coverage.

Thanks for your kind your words - much appreciated. As far as I know it should work with OOO, BUT I have not tested that combination. Based on holliberri's comments, as long as the FormID has not been changed there should be no problems.

I have had reports that it works with FCOM - so it it is always worth a try :)

If you do decide to try it, do let me know what happens.

Surazal, I've checked that with TES4edit and unfortunately your plugin conflicts with OOO. OOO changes about 50% of female npcs - their stats, inventory, combat style.

Many thanks for the feedback - much appreciated.

Do you know if OOO changes the FormIDs as well? If it doesn't, then my mods will override the stats, etc, but should not cause any game load failures - although I have no idea what the stats overrides will do to the OOO mod.

There is no installer located within the installer download.

I have just downkoaded the Installer and tested it - it works perfectly.

You do need OBMM in order to use the installer (as per Required mods on the Description page).

Do let me know if I can help you to get this working.

Surazal! Got your message. Thanks a lot! You've made it so quick, incredible.

Btw, it doesn't matter, full version of OOO is used or lite. Both deals with npc records. At least this is the case for 1.33 "final" version, that i use (i use lite).

As for testing, not had much time but seems it is working. :) But at first I had to resave your patch in CS, otherwise the game hangs at loading. Probably the reason is that i use the older version of OOO.

Thanks for the feedback and the work around for anyone else that has the same problem.

I used version 1.33 of OOO (downloaded OOO_133_Complete.7z from the link on my description page) to create my mod - so not sure why you had a problem. Any thoughts that would allow me to correct this flaw will be very much appreciated.

Edit:
I wonder if it is the difference between Full (which I used) and Lite - seems the most likley reason for needing a save.

Have just uploaded a fix (v2.5.1) for the load problem reported by Mordenkainen.

Apologies for uploading yet another version so soon after the update. You only need to download version 2.5.1 if you use Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul.
