I used the toolset and edited my savegame to expand my inventory slot into 777. No problem so far. It seems 125 is not the limit.

If you want to edit a savegame you can make it go higher, but as far as a mod, 125 is as high as it can go. Something caps the scripts from making it higher and I could find nothing anywhere to change that.
Since most people aren't comfortable editing a savegame, I provided this. Use it of you want, or not its up to you

Important Note
I have been informed that this mod might be causing some weirdness. I am looking into the issue, but you may choose not to install it at this time.
the reported issue was that when leveling with this mod installed, attribute points were being spent in 2's.

The bug is confirmed and I believe I have a fix. I will be uploading a new version pending testing.
In the meantime if you would like a 2for1 sale on attributes, download this mod!

Do you think it's BioWare deliberately trying to stop mods from increasing the backpack size above 125, or is it simply just the way it has been set up and an unfortunate by-product?
Thanks for the mod

I doubt Bioware is setting out to limit people. Its not really their style. I think its more a matter of someone just didn't think to expose this cap to scripting, though that is pretty odd. They exposed everything else related to inventory. There is a base define of 70 for a starting inventory, and the code that handles the backpacks is also in the scripts. But nothing I could do would make the inventory go above 125.
I scoured all the source 2da's that we were given, as well as multiple searches through all the scripts we were given -- nada. Nothing to indicate why its capped at 125.

Thank you so very much for this mod. It's handy without breaking game play. I mean, if you wanted to, you could eventually have the 125 slots via backpacks, so it's not like this is giving you an unfair advantage, game play wise, just makes things a bit more convenient. thanks again
