For people who cannot live with the white stripes, but are happy to limit their hair styles to the standard colours, here's a work-around :

- remove the chargenmorphcfg.xml from your override directory
- launch the character creation tool
- set the hairstyle you want to use (standard options only, obviously, since you remove the override..). If you edit a character that has been saved with "white stripes", it will still show the bug: simply switch between hair models/colours, and that should fix it
- save the character
- exit the character tool
- restore the chargenmorphcfg.xml
- load the game
- import your character
- set all the other customisable bits as you like, simply don't touch the hair !

that should do it... You have access to all the other great extra eyes colours, etc. and the hair should render fine.

I tried to edit the .xml to change the hair models/colours, but that didn't fix anything for me. That approach worked - and I prefer a default hair style that renders OK than a fancy tint with gaps :/

(and thanks to the creator of this mod :D great work)

Since you're no longer supporting the standalone Vibrant eye colors, I guess I'll post my comment here.

I didn't add anything to change the hair color, I only used your replacement eye color and the new colors. It appears that in the CC the hair color order of the sliders have been rearranged and the black hair color has disappeared. I see that there's grey and then white and the old colors, but I can't find black anywhere. Is there anything in your Vibrant eye colors folder that I could remove to have the hair return to normal?

Aloha!

Silverite:
Can you please spcify which addons (and versions) you downloaded and installed exactely?

Refeuth:
Thanks for the work-around.
But if you don't want to use the new haircolors anyway and even started editing the chargenmorphcfg.xml allready - wouldn't it be much easier to just delete all new hair color entries from it?
Or - even easier - you could just download version 1.01 of this addon, which had anything BUT the hair colors allready in it... :D

Pineappletree: oh, I should have checked the previous versions of your addon first, I guess :D
I grabbed your mod with 2 others add-ons (CC extra tints/tones, chargen package), plus the .XML to make everything work together. Interestingly, deleting the extra hair colours in the XML didn't seem to help with characters already saved with the character editor. That's how I came up with this dodgy way of restoring the hair. End-users seem to have different issues with custom hair styles - I thought I'd publish what worked for me :)

It was the Eye Color Replacement 1.1 and the Vibrant Eye Colors 1.1. The problem occurred once Vibrant Eye Colors was added. The black hair color disappeared from the sliders.

Well, after fiddling with the XML file myself I noticed that in the hair color section, you omitted "t3_har_blk", the black hair color. I added it back in and fixed the problem myself. If people are using the Vibrant Colors then they probably won't run into this problem, but I only used the eye color mods. Anyway just a heads up.

Aloha!

Version 1.3 of the "Vibrant Colors" is out, adding new eye colors and - finally - eybrow / stubble colors!

Remember to delete any old version before installing this!

Hey Tree, having not looked through the toolset yet, I'm just venturing a guess, but I have an idea where the "gaps" may be coming from.

The only hairstyle not updated by your mod is the second one, the stubble texture. Looking through the first ten, they seem to be the default hair colours rather than the varying shades of white to grey you've made the other styles in their place, and the rest, from the eleventh on, are all white. I think this texture may be laid under the other hairstyles.

Hm, having a bit of an issue myself.

I downloaded your new eye colors and placed the changemorph file in where it should be, I didn't download any of your hair colors though but when I make a new character with the old default hair colors... there is an odd white glitch that seems to be under the hairstyles and when I remove your files the glitch is gone.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I'd really love to use your violet eye colors but can't without this glitch for the hair being in my game too. :/

@Akallisto

I think you're basically right. If you view all (not just level 0) in the FMOD, there are layers underneath each hair style. If the textures aren't being applied to these lower layers, that's what's causing the white streaks.

Aloha!

Akallisto, wynter_z: Interesting find and thoughts you got there.

I'll look into this as soon as I've got the spare time...
