Hi I was look through the cite stats the other day and I saw that we have more users then posts made. Why don't you guys delete acounts that are very old and no longer active?

That would mean I would've been deleted as well ;D. I've been inactive for more than 4 years before I started to post.
Only about 7,35% of the people ever post....This is just a way so you can always return for later, as some might have lost interest in oblivion because it has been 3 years since its release, doesn't say that they'll not return in about a year or more to seek mods for the next game....and who says those people don't download below 2 mb and therefore don't login that often?
I don't think the load of an user is that heavy..that's probably why they aren't deleted after a long time of no activity :).

There is a symbiotic nature between the forums and the file sites, join one and you join them all. Your assumption is flawed because of this, activity on the forums has nothing to do with a user being inactive....it means only that he is inactive in the forums and uses the file sites to get what he came for....downloads. Not everyone is a social animal and the forums may not interest the vast majority of our users.

If if you are a modder and upload mods, the act of uploading still does not register activity on the forums because it is the "Site Bot" that creates the initial forum thread (comments).

Amazingly enough, the site bot is not a social animal however. I did run into him one time, and he did speak to me in what appeared to be, machine language. I believe it was upset about something. I was so flabbergasted at the time, that I failed to ask it the most important question on my mind, which was how it had managed to accumulate so many kudos... and as of course you can see, I was unable to learn his secrets. :ermm:

SiteBot is actually very helpful and unassuming. He never asked for all of those kudos, but deserves every one.

Site Bot is my best friend. I tell him all my secrets and he never tells anyone. Here's to you, Site Bot!
