"Do you what you must, sir Wulfgar, we shall await your timely return," Garrick called after Wulfgar to bolster his resolve.
After having listened to Ismail tell his story, Garrick began to tell of his dire experiences in the small village. Finishing the tale of the massacre with a sigh, the Altmer continued, "After that fateful night, I hunted down rumours of the Daedra's origins, which led me to Fygge's camp eventually."
"However, before I got to the small village I would spend five years of my life, I," the High Elf's voice abruptly stopped mid-sentence. "Before that, I... How strange," Garrick said and sat down on a log, rubbing his temples. "I seem to have no memories from before my life as a villager, except of my childhood and training."
Looking up at Ulf and Ismail, Garrick's eyes are distant, as if he searches the depths of his mind for anything. From a distant look, the Altmer's eyes turn fearful and he said, somewhat distant, "Living in such a small village meant I had not needed to linger on the past. I was accepted and allowed to become a part of the community. However, during that ghastly attack, one memory surfaced, not a pleasant one, mind you. Not pleasant at all."
Even the memory of recalling the memory brought the smell of burnt flesh into Garrick's nostrils again and the burnt husks of bodies swam before his mind's eye. "The memory is of burnt bodies, corpses, I believe it to be my doing. An uncontrollable talent, I thought, but now I am not so sure any more. Next to this image, there is only darkness in my mind."
I feel so stupid! How can this be, that I remember naught of my life but childhood and the last five years? Garrick thought to himself, confused thoughts charging rampant through his head. What could it be that I am missing? I remember the training I received as a Battlemage, but afterwards it quickly goes dark. Is there something strange about me? Something I overlooked? Something others overlook as well?
Searching his most recent memories, Garrick could find nothing that didn't really add up... Or could he? Wulfgar seems to be an experienced warrior, but he was tremendously shocked by all the blood and gore. I was closer to the 'explosion' than he and yet I was not bothered, the Altmer recalled with a slight shock. Others were able to shake off the effects of the horrible smell and mess, but I do not recall feeling anything at all. There was... emptiness... No, not emptiness, something instinctive, something basic. There was... HUNGER!
At this starlting discovery of his own nature, Garrick sprang up from his look, probably raising some surprised looks from his companions and others around the camp. He quickly gestured for the others to stay calm, even if it wasn't necessary and said, "It seems I will have some soul-searching to do, before I will be able to find more memories. Perhaps they will come to me, perhaps not. It means nothing, for I shall stand by your sides without regret, without doubt and without turning back."
Though he spoke with conviction, it was obvious that his confidence had taken a solid blow. But do I want to learn what lies in my past? Have I not forgotten for a reason? Then again, perhaps someone forced me to forget and there might be magickal knowledge and other experiences in my past that would help us greatly in the coming task...
Looking around camp, Garrick's eyes fell upon the heavily clothed and masked Aldhelm. A shiver passed down his spine, for no apparent reason, as he had laid eyes upon the Dunmer before without that happening. What is this now? Am I going mad? Can I trust my own mind any more? No! I must not cherish such thoughts, they will lead only to a weakened resolve! I am who I am and that shall not change!
With a firm nod to himself, Garrick dismisses the thoughts of his past for now and will await the return of Wulfgar, so he can present their groupt to Fygge. A chuckle crosses his lips, as he now realizes how it will look to have three Nords and an Altmer traveling together, each as burly as the next, no doubt.

Hearing Fygge's wordsDur-Colath thinks 'The effects of Oblivion on transportation?! What the blazes does THAT mean?' aloud he says "Well this should be interesting." Dur-Colath checks his equipment to make sure everything is in place, and then double-checks it. After doing that he looks to his teammates and asks " if you guys are ready I am. Lets get this over with." And saying that he steels himself for whatever effects Fygge talked about might happen.

Not wanting to make Dur-Colath worry, Aldhelm sends him telepathy, Thank you for your concern, but I fear there is nothing you nor even Fygge can do to improve my problem. He then turned and listened to Fygge's announcement.
Upon the announcement that the Daedra's weapons uselessness, he hoped the same wouldn't go for their essences. He needed a strong essence for his plan to work, possibly several strong essences to keep it going. Plus, this was not the first time that he had heard of such weaponry. Having been confined to tombs for much of his existence, he had seen many exquisite weapons guarded by such protection, useless to all but their original owners, who had little need of weaponry.
Wondering what Fygge meant by "the effect of Oblivion", Aldhelm tried to think of the worst thing that could happen to him once he entered the Oblivion. He couldn't think of much worse than his former position had been shortly after his "accident". That had been the low point in his life by far, crawling around as a demon without a purpose, lost in both body and mind. It was only through utter control of his emotions that had allowed him to get as far as he had, so things couldn't be much worse than that. And even with such a grave announcement by Fygge, Aldhelm could not help but become excited, something that was almost as alien to him as companionship, as the prospect of journeying to Oblivion drew nearer.

OOC> Please whichever group you are in I need a combined post in the form of a list of the topics asked for before you can go. It doesn't have to be a leader who writes it anyone who is on the forum can put it together from earlier posts. I see there are a couple of groups almost ready so just complete the documentation. It's just like real life, you know! And PM me when it's done so I can move you as quickly as possible.

Crimson pats himself all over searching for any form of writing equipment to fill out the questionairre from Fygge. Affirming yet again that he has absolutely nothing but the rags of cloth on his body he works his way through the jumble of people organizing for the imminent trip to the small makeshift alchemy station. Grabbing a quill from the table he hastily scribbles down his information:
"Name: Crimson Bueford
Race: Imperial
Age: (he glances around to make sure no one is watching him write) 27
Weapons: None
Armour: None
Potions: None
Scrolls: None
Enchanted Items: None
Other: (again he pats all over himself in search of anything he may need to include and again comes up with nothing)None"
After he finishes he scrambles the questionairre up in his hands and returns the quill quickly to the alchemy table and rushes over to the same Paladin he had spoken to before.
"Hail again Sir Kni-" hes cut short by the Paladin recognising the questionairre in his hand and grabbing it from him in one smooth motion. "Ahha... yes, I was a bit, um... tardy, with my information please forgive as Im still searching for a group I might join for the journey. Matter of fact perhaps you or lord Fygge could assist me in finding a group as it seems none here pay me no nevermind..." he concludes as his shuffles lightly back and forth on the balls of his feet.

Fygge shouts: "Chap here, Crimson something or other, looking for companions anyone else need companions?"
He turns to Crimson. "While you are waiting, tell my Paladins anything about you that might interest me."
(OOC> Apologies if you have already, I haven't noted the name of every post. I'm printing them off for a marathon sort out at the weekend)

As Fygge yells for others to join Crimson he sees the Argonian approaching.
"Call yourself prepared?" He shakes his head. "I find no fault with your weapons but I have to advise you that we have learned the daedra from the rift can track anything of daedric origin as surely as if they could see it. I'm afraid your weapons will be changed by our magic as you teleport for your own safety and the safety of your party. To do the best we can for you we can change it into steel, iron, or a medium armour like orcish, even indoril. When you arrive it will be what you most prefer to use other than daedric - ebony perhaps?"
(OOC> in the next post please indicate what you want it to become)
Fygge continues: "I am sending you to The Burning Tower, our representative Matrim Caughthorn, will tell you more. May fortune be on your side."
There is a sudden shimmering and you are elsewhere.
Ice Blood, Kane, Aldhelm and Dur Colath go from the mercenary camp.

Lui glances over at the robed figure that just arrived at his side. He turns to the man, "ahh this seems very fortuitous. I am not one to deny the requests of my elders. If you are as skilled a warrior as you say I would be honored to have you accompany me on our quest. I ,however, did not manage to catch you name though warrior. And it seems that we still need at least one more to join us before we set out". As he says this Fygge makes his announcment about Crimson to the camp. "Ome with me, I think I've found our other auxiliary," he says to his new companion and he turn and starts walking toward Crimson.
"Greetings humble warrior. I am Lui Wong. I hear that you are in need of adventuring companions. It seems that we both are in favor with the spirits for our corp needs one more before we can be granted permission to venture forth from this place. I offer you a place in our company to do battle against these foul minions of Oblivion".
