Trebbits looks at Bradas and replies, "I showed you all the items I carried, perhaps some of my rations used to be hound meat but after being dried and salted I doubt they would be of much use." After telling him this Trebbits looks back to the lady and walks right up to her, "You have been elusive in what you tell us you know and yet you speak almost mockingly to us who have done our best to meet and build trust with each other in a dire circumstance of having just met. Why do you simply not just tell us all you do know? I wonder at these things is all Lady, but I would have you part your hair that we may possibly see signs of what struck you."

Trebbits sees the others making their way to investigate various things and calls after the healing Orc since he is the most likely to be able to identify the wound given to the lady being a healer. Also calling to Fadril thinking perhaps one as skilled as he has seen enough wounds given by various objects to also help identify the injury to the Lady. "Semink! Perhaps you can use your nose along side the Argonian Frog's and discover if there is a bottle of poison present that has the same scent as the poisoned meat Bradas saved." Trebbits was tired of suspicions and simply wanted truth.

Pairs would be a good idea. Often the most valuable trinkets were knicked by pairs of thieves back home, that was all the evidence Rif needed of the value of teamwork. He made his way to where Fadril sat. "Shall we investigate our companions together?" Rif went about laying his equipment on the ground near the fire to make it easier for he carried no backpack or satchel.

While he was baring his belongings he waited for his Swordsman friend to reply to his offer.

Fadril agreed with Rif, but asked him to hold a moment so he could examine the Lady's wound, and walked over, feeling the last effects of the poison wearing off. He was glad that the others were taking the initiative, no matter how clumsily, for he had nearly no idea what to do in a situation like this.

"I'm no healer, but my best guess is that she recieved a good blow from a Blunt weapon, and the attacker placed the strike well but wasn't strong enough to kill her, and left her for dead. Or didn't use their full strength, so as to not exclude the weaker members of the party from suspicion. Or they just wanted to knock her out, but not kill her."*

Fadril returned to Rif, and commenced searching.

* OOC: Malchik, if this isn't what Fadril should see, tell me what he should and I'll change my post accordingly.

Also, I guess you should state if Rif and Fadril find anything.

An examination of the wound will show that the lady had earth and dirt matted in the wound. It wouls seem she was hit by something pulled out of the ground and to judge from the shape most probably a stone. Yet the stone was not left behind why? There are not too many stones on the floor of the forest but if you examine the area closely you will find one place where there are more than others.

(OOC to save you an obvious post I will tell you)

The tents have been placed where the ground is flattest and stones used to make it as flat as possible to enable you to sleep. So the place you will find the most stones is in the tents themselves.

Nothing will be found on anyone's equipment.

[Sonnaba & Gratch]

Hearing the results of Fadril’s examination of the Lady’s wound, Sonnaba and Gratch continued the search of the tents, paying careful attention to the stones on the ground. They were hoping to see if any of the stones are missing or look as though they had been recently moved.

They find one stone loose only and an examination shows it has blood on it. Beneath it may be discovered objects that disappeared from everyone's packs (if any I can't remember) and an empty bottle of poison. The stone is in the tent used by Trebbits.

(Skip this posting as nothing I can post here will fit between the time frames given on either side of this slot. It used to be the first quote seen HERE)

[Sonnaba]

(OOC: I checked through our inventories, and didn’t find any detect enchantment items, scrolls or potions. Frog knows the spell though. Does his knowledge return?)

A loose rock with blood on it and an empty bottle of what smelled like poison! Sonnaba pried up the stone, removed the bottle, and carefully examined the area beneath for other items or loose earth indicating anything buried there. He then stepped out of Trebbits' tent with the rock and bottle (and anything found beneath it) to the middle of the camp. Calling the others over, he kept his eye on Trebbits.

Fadril emerged from a tent and saw Sonnaba and what he held. He frowned.

"I have two things to say, for now. One, remember that our hostess said that the perpetrator did not do this of their own volition. Two, we must not jump to conclusions. What if those were placed in Trebbits' tent to throw us off the trail of the one who actually did it?"
