Standing next to Erunanion, Ralaith sent hima personal telepathic message, for he did not want the others hearing him. What do you think about inspecting the weapons? How should we go about it? For some reason, I have a feeling that accidents such as the broken mortar will continue to happen until we find out who the culprit is, and get them cured. Besides, we may need the detect enchantment potions for finding the traps set near the tower. But either way, we MUST find out who is the culprit--and fast. I suggest we get the group together, here, now, and raid everone's equipment for any sign of the missing items or a possible weapon used in the attack. We are running out of TIME!

Adding to his previous message, Ralaith sends to Erunanion, Hold on a sec--I just thought of something.
Running back into the tent, Ralaith asks Caughthorn, "Perhaps I could look at your wounds? There is a chance I could tell what sort of weapon made them, and thus who the traitor is."

An examination of the wound indicates that the object had been pulled out of the ground, probably a smooth stone as there were no cuts and minimal blood on the wound. The marshland has few stones except for the rocks of the stream and they are jagged, ragged edged affairs. Then you notice that to raise the tents out of the water each is built over a plinth of smooth stones.
Caughthorn says: "The daedra are not the most cunning of beasts. If I were not under the protection of the good daedra that blow would have killed me. You would have gone on thinking it to be someone from outside. I am sure that was what was planned. Don't try to look for any sophisticated plot to lead you on a false trail. It shouldn't have been necessary."

Ralaith thanked Caughthorn, and walked back out of the tent. The findings were suspicious, but at least now they would not have to go through everyone's belongings, only look for any missing or upturned stones in the floor of their tents. He did not want to let anyone know about his findings, but on the off chance that he was the culprit, Ralaith somehow knew he would not be able to find anything out of the ordinary in his own tent, so he decided to once again confide in Erunanion. My friend, there is new evidence. The weapon used to attack Caughthorn was no blade, it was a rock, pure and simple. It appears these Daedra truly aren't that smart, or at least the one attempting the treachery is not. We must search the floor of the tents, for the only rocks smooth enough to be the weapon are there.
To the group, he sent, Be warned. New evidence has turned up, and two of us are going to search tents. Not equipment, but tents. If you would like to be present when we search yours, hurry up, for we are starting now.
With that, Ralaith headed off towards the nearest tent, Dur-Calath's as it happened, without waiting for a response.

Dur-Calath's tent floor shows no sign of having been disturbed.

[ooc]you're not going to make this easy, are you? I wish someone else were on to do this with me...[/ooc]Dur-Calath's tent floor shows no sign of having been disturbed.
Moving on, Ralaith hurried from one tent to the next, searching the floors for any sign of a missing or disturbed stone. He wanted to get this over with.

Kane grumbles wondering why tents are being searched, Ralaith was with holding information, he knew something the others did not and this annoyed Kane, he grunts seeing Ralaith head to Dur-colath's tent, seeing his was next, slowly he walks to his own tent, opening the flap entrance while waiting for the investigator to arrive.

There is only one tent in which the floor has been disturbed. Beneath a loose stone you find all the stolen objects (if there were any) and an empty vial of poison. The tent is that used by Aldhelm.

[ooc] Quick question: is the poison the one of mine that went missing, or is it another? [/ooc]
Ralaith sent to the entire group, Mystery solved. The weapon used to attack Caughthorn was a rock from the floor of a tent, and the rock has been found. Underneath it, the missing potions have been found, as has a vial of poison. Would the entire group report to Caughthorn's tent, where the betrayer shall be revealed, and then cured?
