Hear you loud and clear on the stairway evac. Also, levitate will only be used if we're spotted anyway, to clear the stairs and take a shot if we're forced to fight there.
Sorry to disagree with you guys, but I think we should take them out. We don't want to leave an enemy wandering around if we can't get underground immediately, and I think we need to get our feet wet. Also, I doubt Malchik is just going to let us hide, so I think we should take the initiative and setup an ambush if possible. I suspect someone will die here...
From the description, I would take blue light to mean a frost or storm atronach, and the redish light to mean a fire atronach. Not sure about the third, but we should plan our attacks accordingly since certain spells probably won't work (i.e. the fire atronach will most likely resist a fire based attack).
Just my 2 cents; if you get the support for hiding, Sonnaba will do his best to stay out of sight, but doesn’t know any relevant spells.

YOu'r probably right about Malchik not having put three monsters on our way just for ust to let pass. but that shouldn't have any influence on our chars. they dont know Malchiks plans with them. But what the chars do know is that the last uncovered items are probably there and if they let the monsters passs they'll loose those. That should be important. Whatever is up there is of some importance to the monsters, so naturally better of in our hands. I think its better to take them out. But I cant decide what your chars would do, thats still up to you. And for me its even more standing there looking, couse Gratch is not even present. So...............I'll just shut up again. Btw, finished my schoolwork
but I doubt if university will recognise the importance of creative writing, they wouldn't have made these strict guidelines if they would. Ash-holes!

Well lets put it this way, if we manage to hide at the bottom just outside of the guard tower we might have:
1) element of suprise (ambush tend to come to mind)
2) more space (more characters can enter into the fray)
3) if they don't detect us (which I doubt) we will atleast know what we face and can strategise accordingly.
4) we can keep them inside the guardhouse - only one in the doorway at a time
5) if we pull it (hiding) off, we might get better weapons (my steel spear is no use against most tipes of daedra so Frog will have to fight hand to hand)
If we burst in we might have the element of suprise but if they are tuff and all of them survive, only one of us would be facing them in round one (1 to 3 = not good)
Just my two cents

Yeah well, I think everbody is thinking the same except that you want to hold them up in the doorway and sonnaba for example wants to hold them up in the stairwell....I'll have you all decide whats the best way. But for the weapons-part, the monsters said they should take everything....so you wont find anything when they pass. Only, your char hasn't heared that naturally, but he might aswell asume. Only thing is, I dont know how big the guardhouse is, if its small it would indeed limit the battle

One more note: Malchik specifically mentioned that an area effect spell (such as a fireball) might work. This might be a good thing to try, if somebody has a spell like that.

True, but that would mean that you had to fire it without seeing who or what is up there, except if you used it when only the first one got outside........
damn, this is a useless post, sorry!

Yes, yes, I am not supposed to be here. Hides from fireballs and rapier jabs. However the precise words you overheard were 'we are ordered to leave'. You might ponder that further before you decide what to do about whatever is up there.

Good point and thanks for the heads up!
It could mean that they are in communication with other forces... in which case we need to take them out before they can raise an alarm.

Actually I was thinking more on the lines of finding out where the hell they are going because your stated job is to take out the lead guy and forget the hangers on!
