"So the right tunnel it is then. I will take lead, the rest follow, try not to clash your armor with your weapons" Zow whispered as he took the lead into the right tunnel. He casted invisibility on himself, and disapeared from sight.
"I will leave an 'X' on the ground indicating to stop. Lets hope things dont get even more complicated" he added.
While taking lead, Zow scanned his horizons, for anything out of the ordinary at all.

“You need to lay-off the detect spells friend.” Darian looked down at his chest to insure that his amulet was still wrapped. “I only unwrap this when light is necessary. It keeps my hands free from carrying torches so that I can shoot.”Ulf looked at Darian and almost dazed off. "Darian friend, is that your amulet shining so much, I can't see a thing with the night sight on, when I look at you?"
Darian passed Ulf his “restore stamina” potion with a knowing grin. “Here my friend, this may help a bit.” He knocked an arrow to his bow again. “I know that these have helped me after many a wild night.”"Or maybe it's just the brandy that poured into my vision as a small goddess of blurring. Did I really drink that much..." Ulf removed his pack for a second or two and grapped some dried fish in there. "Hmpf.. forgot to eat. Been away from Skyrim for too damn long I have. How much Nord is a Nord that forgets to eat?", Ulf rambled on while he chewed the fish.
"Ah that's better", he exclaimed, "and now for a little nap." Ulf began sat down but was immediately stopped by an arm holding him up on his feet.
He noticed Zow moving into the hall and took his place in line.
“Time to go Ulf.” Darian nudged his friend to draw his attention forward.

When back on his feet he lingered a bit and then finally got his clear vision back. He noticed Darian's outstretched arm with a potion or something in the end. Since he didn't hear much of what Darian had said, he took the potion out of good faith, cheered and emptied it in one go.
"Not as good as the brandy I'd say my good Bosmer, but it'll do... yees it'll do", Ulf babbled on a bit while his head cleared in the same way as the vision had done. "We're going? Ah yes ... the ceremony, can't be late for that now can we." Ulf chuckled and was about to whistle a tune he remembered about merry women and even merrier men, but right there he snapped back and got control over himself again. By damn old man, what happened there?
He looked a bit confused and embarrassed at the others, checked his readied items just to do something that didn't look like stalling the party and then got back to his position in front of Darian and behind Garrick.

“Indeed my large friend.” He whispered to Ulf with a hint of humor in his voice. “Mustn’t keep the priests waiting.”We're going? Ah yes ... the ceremony, can't be late for that now can we."
A familiar euphoria washed over Darian as it always did when he was hunting.

I told you we were better with swords... You can thrust those, you know...
Then he went in the tunnel after Zow, Hadrio and Darian, ready for anything, but hoping to for nothing until they actually had the room to fight properly. As they went, the Altmer quickly downed a potion to restore his magickal reserves, as it would not do to wait until battle ensued.
[OOC: I'm off to a funeral, so expect me to be gone for a couple of hours from now.]

The only problem with the path you are on is that it is too narrow to let anyone pass. You make it to the point where the river does indeed disappear into a hole in the ground too small to permit access. As you draw close to the two side tunnels you hear something running along the passageway behind you. (OOC> how are you moving - running, sneaking, walking?)

Strange or not, he liked the old Nord who had behaved, if not like a father, then like a favoured uncle from the time they had first met at the mercenary camp. He would have liked to address him, but with time constantly passing, Wulfgar decided that the time for words would come later.
Assuming that they would leave in the proposed walking order, he stood near the entrance to the right tunnel, directed his view to the other two tunnels to make sure that no one would unexpectedly run into their party and waited for the others to enter the tunnel at his back.
As soon as everyone had entered, he took the rear, now and then turning his head to peek over his back. When they had covered a short distance, Wulfgar suddenly noticed the pattering of feet, apparently coming their way along the tunnel; he stopped short and, turning around, whispered "Someone's coming along this way! From the back!"

There wasn't much time for discussion and this seemed to be the best plan for the moment, Garrick thought. Unless another plan was posited, he would try to keep the group moving forward, so Darian and Hadrio could do their thing.

Ulf had splashed a bit of water on his face to clear up and he was beginning to feel better. Just remember to eat old man, no matter what. Darian's joke had put a smile on his face though and it had seemed a bit contagious to the rest. Smile and laughter are indeed needed in this world, even in dire times such as this; before they all most likely walked into their deaths. He wanted to do what he could to get the others out alive - if it meant sacrificing himself so be it. This was his chance to finally clash swords with Mehrunes and spit him in the face. The anger and hatred boiled inside him and he felt his wild side creep closer. Maybe end it all with a big bang of a fire destruction spell, now that would be good cruel and cold Nord irony.
As they moved along the stream, the tunnel winded and then the stream wanted no more companionship and went into a small hole in the side of the tunnel. Ulf saw it as an odd symbol of the good forces of nature now leaving them on their own; to succeed or to perish.
Zow was nowhere in sight, but he knew he was out there in front of them. The redguard with the strange white spiky-haired head had indeed changed his ways to the better of the group; heck they all had. What an odd feeling it was to care for someone after forty years of not being near that; he looked at his companions and realised he was happy being with them all.
As he heard Wulfgar whispering that someone or something was coming from behind them, he quickly relayed the information to Garrick. Hearing Garrick's suggestion he contemplated for a second and then said: "If it is only one, yes then we should all stop and grab him by the neck, but we do not know if we might draw attention to anyone nearby; what for instance could be behind the two doors up there my friend? Has Zow given any sign of anything in that regard?"
"If it's only one, we can paralyze him and be through with him without giving away any sounds, but it's risky this close to the doors... maybe we should stay back here. The only other option I see is running for the winding tunnels ahead."
ooc: did we hear more than one pair of footsteps? Any noise from the sidedoors? Zow must be there by now. In my head we have been walking sofar, letting Zow scout a bit ahead.

On Topic
The doors are not locked or trapped nor is there any sound coming from the side tunnels. As he relays this a clannfear suddenly appears around the corner and stops in surprise as it sees Ulf giving him a chance to get in first. As Ulf decides what to do he can hear other noises behind but quite a long way back as if something else had just entered the top of the tunnel. To Ulf it sounds 'big' although he cannot quite understand why he thinks that. It would perhaps be unwise to try to fight it in the narrow confines of the tunnel but he can address that once he has dealt with the Clannfear.
