Wulfgar, you're not wrong and neither is Ulf about the map
The only difference is that Ulf put North at the top of his map and you made it as it was described to us

We'll see about that
I read it again and I still think I am right.. but then again I could be filled with Alit poo as usual.

Ahh, yes - now that you point out the compass in the top left corner, everything makes sense - well, maybe I was a bit confused since there was no tunnel our group came out of (which I somehow expected, but isn't implied anywhere). Bad excuse, I know, but there must be some reason why I didn't agree with Kheskeim's picture
At least I can remove that awful ASCII diagram again ;P

Just to be sure, Malchik, does it make a difference which tunnel we go into? I believe it will, but your description was... general, enough to make me doubt myself a bit
I don't mind taking point, but also have little qualms about a spot further down the row
I believe Zow has Ebony armor... Meh, let him take the first blows, he'll be able to survive them, right?

It seems to make quite a difference which tunnel we choose, so I suggest we give that some thought before doing anything unadvisable.
As it appears to me, there's a group of cultists or something similar in the tunnel to our left who are on their way to "the ceremony". Whatever it is they are planning to do exactly, their destination will be ours as well if you ask me. However, simply rushing into that tunnel doesn't sound too sensible since the last statement we've heard was about fetching someone, so there is quite a high risk of directly running into one of the presumed cultists if we enter the tunnel now. However, there is also the risk of losing that group if we hesitate too long... I'd appreciate your views on that dilemma.
Secondly, as Malchik has pointed out, since we will have to walk in single file, we must also decide on the order in which we enter the tunnel. It sounds advisable to have fighters at the front and rear, and preferably those fighters who have absolutely no means of performing ranged attacks. From what I can gather, Ismail(?), Wulfgar and Hadrio would be candidates for that. While Hadrio's "thug" background will grant him a greater chance of spotting traps on the way, he is the least armoured member of the group - and seeing that another group is passing the tunnel directly in front of us, the danger of lethal traps is rather small in my eyes.
Consequently, I would suggest having Ismail leading the group, and either Hadrio or Wulfgar at the rear of the file.
We seem to have two group members capable of using a bow, namely Zow and Darian, so I would suggest to have one of them on second position of each end of the file. Both are also apt melee fighters, and can defend themselves if the person in front of them should be wounded or fall, and their second position grants them a mostly unobstructed view and allows them to aim their shots as well as possible. Garrick and Ulf are capable of destructive magic, so they could walk in the middle of the file.
This would leave the position of either Wulfgar or Hadrio undecided - if Hadrio remains, maybe he could walk at the front between Ismail and the respective archer as to lessen the theoretical danger of traps, if Wulfgar remains ... I'm not really sure what would be a sensible position for him :/ (no, this is not trying to keep my character out of trouble, at the moment I really have no idea where he could fit in).
To sum up, a possible walking order could be:
front -- Ismail - Hadrio - Zow - Ulf - Garrick - Darian - Wulfgar -- rear
(I've left Ander out since xavori has quit the game.)
This is only a suggestion, your ideas are more than welcome

I am confused to be honest.. I made a new map, because I think it's rather important everyone know what is going on and from where sounds are coming etc!!

Now, as I perceive it:
1) Upon entering the "room" we heard the voice from the tunnel ahead. 1 voice and at least 2 sets of footsteps
2) Then when Zow motioned to take cover, we apparently went all the way back inside the tunnel we came from - again I have to assume my drawing is correct or it doesn't fit my mind well
3) Now upon reentering the room, the voice is suddenly to the left?? Did they just enter then room and turn down the "not mining" tunnel without any of us seeing anything? It would have been imperative to see, who is was.. so I think someone would have invis or chameleon to be able to peek just a weeny bit.
Anyway! *deep sigh*
Your single file sounds excellent to me. It's important to have two capable fighters in front, so one in back will do. If we meet anything they can kneel sligntly or lean to the side, while the archers shoot. The mages can hopefully extend their hands/staff as to fire spells even from behind the others.
So far so good.
Strategy? Well, since we don't know who these people are and haven't seen a thing, we don't know how to do anything yet. It sounds as if they're in a hurry to assemble everyone for their ceremony.. when blowing up the world I gather.
We could try to waylead the one going to get everyone there and then just wait for their leader to get annoyed and send out more people/deadra to fetch them. There is no saying that it will do that tho.. could just go ahead with it and we could loose precious time. But as is, they could be waiting and we could gain some time on killing the messenger. But more importantly, we maybe can root them out a bit and take them in smaller groups.. (of course, we have no idea how many they are)
Of course killing him can also alert everyone - that's problem nr. one.
So Malchik wants us down the not mining tunnel huh...?
