I am just wondering what software is best for organzing, editing, and encoding video recorded of Fallout 3 for fraps. I am looking for something relatibely easy to use, but a lot more expansive than Windows Movie Maker. I just want to know because I want to make some Fallout 3 vids for youtube. I use fraps as my recorder and I know of a pretty encoder, it's just a video app I need to work with.

Sony Vegas? I've pesonally never used it, I haven't the money for it and I usually end up using "Ulead VideoStudio" because it came with my capture card, which I use for MW2 videos and stuff.

Anyway, Sony Vegas has many good reviews, and most people I've asked recommend it.

Err... If you got the cash, Premiere pro along with fireworks (both Adobe Creative Suite) will do good : )

I use FRAPS to capture in-game video.

I then chop it up into usable clips with VirtualDub.

When I purchased a program called AVS Video Converter, I found out that I am automatically licensed to use ANY of the software that AVS4YOU makes. I started using AVS Video Editor to piece my movie clips together, add graphic and text overlays, effects, etc. It is just like Windows Movie Maker except that it actually works instead of blowing up...and it has a lot more features but keeps it easy-to-use.

I also have Camtasia Studio which has a video editor very similar to AVS Video Editor but I rarely use it now in favor of AVS.

Magix Music Maker 12
Primarily designed as a music editor, it's also quite capable of editing video, and can export in a multitude of formats with custom settings for resolutions, framerates, audiorates, etc.

Right now, they're up to version 15, and the program can be had as a bundle with a bunch of sound-sample loops for about US$40.
