In response to post #14413863.

You are very right. As the vet told me - as we say good bye to one old friend it opens up the opportunity to say hello to a new one ... meaning that at some point I might be able to rescue another dog who is in need of a home :) But for now it will just be me and Grimwolf (my 2 year old German Shepherd who is here to keep me company).

I am glad you enjoy my stories and images - I know I post a lot of them :-)

A happy ending for Grim & Wolfgar in this well-told tale.

I am so sorry to hear that you have lost your lovely Glacier. I wish we always had happy endings when it comes to our loved ones. I understand the pain of losing a dear friend all too well myself and how hard it is to let them go, when it feels like they're taking half your heart with them. Only time will heal that wound. And many happy memories. What keeps me going is the belief that I'll see those sweet, furry faces again someday. Good journey to you Glacier

Aw, sorry for your loss :( My great-grandmother will also take her Pekingese to the doctor at Monday, probably for the last time... but she didn't take good care of her, I had to tell you, feed her to death and nothing else :(

Sorry to hear of your loss, I personally lost my canine friend a few years ago...

Dogs are more friendly than most humans, and they never betray you... so i know that loss can hurt quite a bit... i wish you well my friend.

BTW, This was a great conclusion for this arc:) I liked the fact Hercine gave Arnbjorn the Saviours Hide. I really can't imagine Grim needing it :b

Many thanks Bowsong for the kind comment and indeed I am a man of happy endings. I seriously doubt anyone on Nexus thought I would do anything to permanently hurt Wolfgar. Anyone else is fair game but I won't hurt any animal companion :)

I am not a person of faith but during the hardest times I like to dream that some day I will join all my dogs in the wild hunt of the great beyond ... not hunting like Hircines hunt but instead running through forests and meadows, jumping over brooks and streams, chasing butterflies, and being at one with nature and my dogs.

Thanks Fiszi for the comment and support. It is hard not to spoil pets I know. I am lucky in that I am a very healthy person who exercises so I make sure my animals do the same. I spoil them in the quality of their food versus the quantity.

Thank you Userper, I have been enjoying your comments of late and want you to know I appreciate your interest in my stories and images!

Aye one reason I love animals is their more simple morals - loyalty to the one who takes care of them with no questions or judgements.

Grim rejected the hide, think that is why Hircine gave it to Anjborn. Plus "Savoir" seemed appropriate. Luckily in this case it was not from the skin of Sindig, as Sindig also joined the BWC. Grim really does pick up all the lost causes :)

Glad you liked the ending. This was the conclusion but I will be doing an epilogue for this particular sub plot as I need to tie up some things (Mralki and the dagger, Cicero, Anbjorn, Revealing what is in Astrid's journal, and Grim, Erik, and Wolfgar getting a nice quiet weekend together before they go back to work for the guild).

Plus I am working on a few surprise stories coming as well :)

Very sorry about Glacier. Great images here, I love the one of Wolfgar licking Grim's hand.

It is good to see that all were reunited without any more bloodshed, Grim and his wolf brother sharing a quiet moment, Wolfgar knowing some of what Grim went through to save him. Seems Arnbjorn has found his place in the world after being a pawn for Astrid for so long, free to wander again. I also liked how Wolfgar calmed Grim's temper about Delvin, heading to the calm images sent into his mind, sensing Delvin was truly sorry for what he had done, he is sure to be an ally back in the family of thieves. The meeting of Grim and his friends was heartwarming as well, those few amusing words told to Erik. It is interesting to see Hircine and Fenrir meeting Grim and Arnbjorn. Wonderful work, Wolfgrimdark :)

It is sad to hear you lost your loyal friend, sounds and looks like she was a wonderful dog, your tale is a lovely tribute to her memory.

Great ending to a great story! I'm glad everything worked out in the end, and I'm curious and excited to see what happens to Cicero and the Night Mother in 'Loose Ends' :-)

May Glacier rest in eternal peace, my friend
