Okay, Basically I just got the Dwarf Warrior companion and respec'd him to be completly archer.. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction to were I can get him some cool looking gear? (a mod) ... Also is it a good idea have a warrior archer? Also he has like 13 Str.. This doesnt matter for archers though, right?

for armor and weapons, there havent been many bows made jet i belive but you should find plenty of armor.

To my knowledge Longbows use strength and shortbows dextery for damage multipliers or something like that.

There was also some bug with dextery dont work right for bows if i am not mistaken, and there is a unofficial hotfix for it here: http://dragonage.gul...rity_hotfix_101

In the Ruins lower lairs in Brecilian Forest you will get the bow Falon´Din´s Reach, a very nice bow.
You need a dexterity of 34 to carry it and use it however. Str. does not matter, but comes in handy if in meele combat.
Works right for me. Have tried in one playthrough with 3 archers. Even dragons go down easely.

Archers have their problems in the vanilla game, basically, ranged weapons having accuracy issues and talents being uderpowered. OFC, this is where mods come into play:

Does a better job than the hotfix (which just buffs bows, which leaves dedicated archers useless).

Well Dwarf Archer | I assume that for Dwarfs archers use Crossbows as they are based on strenght some dex just for skill high str fo X-Bow and a medium or heavy armor | Of course the mod named Better Archery come handy xD

I hope you dont want to make a dwarf looks like some elfie squishie dexie based babe, or are you?
+ there are few nice X-Bows as well | some vs deamons etc.

I personally prefer to have rogues for archers... Warriors have better defense options and can therefore take a beating better. So I keep them on the front line.
