An OMOD-Ready Archive for OMOD and manual installation is now available. It also includes a quick update (0.2.1) adding a Power Attack sound toggle.

A rather large update (v0.3) is now available with as main features 76 new enemy type sound messages (gaint, goblin, ranged, animal, etc.) and the player character now finishing his/her sentences even when being hit or wants to say something else. The player character is also a bit more talkative (modify the .ini file to your personal taste).

Unfortunately the v0.3 of the mod actually causes massive problems with other NPCs in the game. Specifically if I speak to Varel Morvayn or his assistant immediately after loading, his voice uses the proper voice settings. After about five seconds of running the game and talking to Varel, however, results in either no audio for his unique dialog (his unique greeting) or generic Imperial audio dialog (Hello, Goodbye, etc.).

Note that this was on a clean Oblivion v1.2.0416 w/ SI install with a clean save, and OBSE 18 beta 4. I'm going to update OBSE to beta 6 and see if that improves things.

Just confirmed that OBSE 18 beta 6 does not resolve the problem.

Thanks for your feedback. In version 0.3 i tried a new OBSE command to set all voices to imperial to simplify manual installation, but did not realise this was for everything and not just the player. As soon as i realised this (a couple of days later) i changed this back in the 0.4 update. Version 0.4 also included 4 new voices and a voice alteration spell.

I would appreciate it if you would download 0.4.3 of this addon and give it another go. Thanks in advance and hope you will enjoy the mod a bit better then.

btw i noticed in your feedback (where you did not endorse it) you mentioned you were using 0.4.3. Could you please change this to not confuse anyone else trying this addon? Thanks.

Odd -- changing the version number listed in the unendorsement is value I can't edit. But if 0.4.3 fixes the problem, I'll remove the unendorsement immediately. I actually do like the system -- it's just the NPC problem was driving me insane. =o)

Looks like our timing was wacky -- not surprising since I was up at about 1am my time when I wrote that comment and unendorsed -- it took me forever to isolate which mod was causing the problem. When I finally figured out what was going on, I was dead tired, so I must have missed your update.

I'll give it a try now.

Confirmed -- 0.4.3 fixes the problem. I've removed the unendorsement, and as soon as the 3 hour cooldown download timer finishes, I'll endorse. Thanks!

Trying your Voice Extender Mod. All working ok except that I am getting a message middle/bottom of the screen every time my character speaks, whether idle talk or in combat. Message is "Hit #34". I am using Dark UI HUD. Any ideas? A leftover debug line/message from testing?

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks for you efforts creating this Mod.

Thanks for reporting this issue. A new version (0.5) is now available for download with as main feature quest support. It also fixes the Hit #34 message issue when having general subtitles enabled ingame.
