In response to post #16721354.

Actually, HighPoly Fern Meshes bonus download from Skyrim particle patch for ENB mod by mindflux is already compatible with SMC.

O I am so lazy so...

Please can you guys add a kind of version recognizer that tels you which version of the mod you have and which is the latest version(like in MO) or a mod updater(like in NMM) because it's very difficult to see wihch version of a mod i have and which is the latest and delete it and download it again.

And yes I know that in the help thingi you can know which is the latest version of a mod.

but please add this if possible:)

I don't really know what other "version recognizer" (besides compatible mods section in help file) do you mean, why do you need it and how exactly should it be implemented...
SMC will usually work with different versions of the same mod, not necessarily the latest, and IMHO existing simple list of max supported version numbers and some extra tips should be sufficient for users to know what files should they download.

There is a merged complete+USKP esp for RSChildren in optional downloads for RSChildren. It is not included in the installer. Any chance you could include that?

Also, for some reason the RSChildren USKP patch doesn't get added anymore.

So next to the mods on the SMC menu you want the latest version number? Not a bad idea really. If you have an older version of a mod installed it can highlight in a certain color notifying you that there is an update available, kinda like the SMIM line does now with SMC.

Or like the photo above the version number can highlight as a different color. Green can mean you have the latest supported file, Gray for there is a new version available, but your older version is still supported, and then Red for the version of your file is no longer recognized and so you MUST update it.

SMC is not actually a mod manager and wasn't created to keep you informed about latest mod versions and stuff like that ;)

Moreover, it doesn't necessarily requires you to use latest mod versions, you can freely combine files from different mod versions to maybe get some better mix (Ruins Clutter Improved is a good example of mod with some good textures being removed in latest versions, but if you happen to have old ones - SMC will use those textures in compilation), use files from different mods under joint name (like in case with Detailing the Eldrich), works with unpacked mods and mods from other (than Nexus) sources. How could it possibly know or "calculate" versions for these mods - I don't know and don't really want to waste time on coding this, sorry.

I've thought about it, but no, sorry. SMC won't (it's impossible with current SMC list logic) delete all the other .esp-files found in main archive. It won't overwrite them with a merged patch as it is supposed to, but instead, will simply be installed alongside them all... which will surely lead to a lot of questions from users here about whether they should delete them or not etc... I don't really want to mess with it, so if you want to use this merged file - just install it manually after SMC.

"Also, for some reason the RSChildren USKP patch doesn't get added anymore."
Thanks for noticing this. Fixed in latest (1.3.2.3) version.
