I see your point, I just guess whats fun for me may not be for everyone else. I did solo the mage hideout in denerim with a warrior - I won't lie it took 3-4 reloads, but the corridors and rooms there help manage the aggro. The most fun I ever had though was killing the Sloth Demon in the fade solo, without using any shapeshifting - and incidently it was a dwarf so no lyrium veins either. The only fade demon I could not beat without shapeshifting is the pride demon in templar's nightmare - her spells are really nasty and I need a Golem Hurl to get a headstart on her.

As for mages...I 'endure' those until I become a proficient AW and then the fun starts (for me anyway).

Well i started a new game with the Nightmare Plus mod and i have to say that things are a little more interesting :>
The fact that you need much more stats to equip good armors and weapons makes the game difficult (bye bye the Knight Commander's Plate :D) For now it makes the game entertaining again as it's no longer stupid bashing and i actually have to elaborate some strategies for quite a few very nice fights.

e.g. the blood mage base in Denerim. There is a room with three mages and some other guys. I have appreciated to aoe the room with morrigan while my other characters kept closing doors when ennemies tried to open them XD

I also decided not to use the DLCs contents till the last part of the game in Denerim.
I think i'm also gonna give a try to solo the game but i'm still wondering what to do cause i'm in love with my s&b templar ^^

Is it possible to solo with nightmare plus mod or should i deactivate it ? (i don't rage if i fall into a reload fest, that's what i'm looking for but i don't want to try to do something just impossible)

It *should* be possible. Note that the reloadfest comment was for the early 1-12 levels, once you're on high dex, 90%+ spell resist and 30+ armor you should be fairly unkillable.

Okay so i'm playing as a solo dw rogue and i have to say that this is the most awesome game ever :D
(with nightmare plus mod)

Gonna try with a mage next ^^

But the rogue is quite imba with high dex against melee opponents.
I only regrets that either i didn't find it or there is no bomb that stun or silence or disable heals received :(

Maybe someone could be able to make a mod for this :>

I have to admit TG, I took your advice and just started a dual wield warrior. Doing the mage tower right now and you are right, it is fun!!
