In response to post #15389560.

The landscape lod is automatically included if you create the .bsa. This is Oblivion, not Skyrim. It doesn't cause any harm. The mod has cleaned with TES4Edit.

If there are any issues with the textures on weaker machines we'll provide a version with more compression. But more compression means significantly less quality for players using HD resolution. At least it's very obvious on my system.

For example I use another lod colour, or something else maybe)) Its a horse mod, not a lod replacer. What soft you use for bsa creation? Making bsa is a simple file creation, how it can include lod automaticaly?

About compression- its look identicaly, maybe if I go so close & make a screenshot, compare to see a difference.
When you have a heavy modded game, every optimization is matter)
As I say it is great mod, but it must be without lod(100%) & optimized in DX5 textures(optional).

Good luck)

Yes, packing in a .bsa generates landscape lods and this since all the years after the release of Oblivion. It's NOT the distant lod, which you might be referring to.

About the non-DXT5-compressed textures you are right. They are the textures I was working on about three years ago.

IT IS a landscape lod texture and is a trash- Posted Image
I use BSA commander & NifOPT for .bsa creation and never spotted auto landscape generation)

I'm adding this to my list of My Favorite Mods of Elder Scrolls Oblivion! These ponies are very beautiful, gorgeous, and lovely! I love these ponies so much and would have all of them as pets in real life!

GBRPluss, thank you for your kind words, and thank you for pointing out these things :)

It's I who have done the bsa-packaging, and I have been using TES4Files for the purpose, as it is such a wonderful, reliable autopackage-tool. I have been using it for all my Oblivion mods, always, and you are right, it actually autopacks also lod-files *as soon as there is a change made to an exterior area*. And, technically, this is the case with this mod, not because of the ponies, but because there are invisible markers added in the stable area. These markers are technically statics, and I guess that this is the reason why the lod-files have been autopacked. (EDIT: I can't look in the constructionset right now, but come to think of it, I believe I ended up placing the static markers in a dummycell. But there are still persistant creature objects in the stable area, including creatures as persistant markers.)

In fact, I guess every mod I have made for Oblivion contains some lod-files, as I can't think of any mod I have made that doesn't at least add an invisible marker somewhere.

Of course, if there is a problem with this, I could unpack and repackage the mod with another tool to remove the lod. It's not a huge effort (unless I should do it for each and every mod that I have released for Oblivion). But, in that case Lycanthrops and I better discuss first whether or not he should change his textures.

Thank you for your kind words :) Hope you will enjoy the ponies ingame!
Admittedly, I haven't had much time for modding Oblivion lately, as Vilja in Skyrim has kept me really busy for a very long time. But, to now make something in the Oblivion CS was quite a relief, so many things are so much easier than in the Skyrim creation kit. And Cyrodiil is such a sweet, fairytalelike world, especially compared to the grim and cold Skyrim! For instance, doing housemods is a pleasure in Oblivion but a frustrating chore in Skyrim. So, as long as there is anyone at all playing Oblivion, I guess I'll continue to mod for it :).
