I haven't been able to find the ponies at Chorrol. Waited 7 game days. Changed load order a few times. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for what looks like a wonderful mod. Packhorse isn't nearly as cute. Your work is definitely appreciated. Only request I would have is for there to be a weight limit on each pony instead of an item count. That would make the ponies different and more realistic - smaller one carries less, they carry less if you're riding, etc. The survival mods for endurance are dynamic like that.

Again, thank you!

In response to post #17175014.

Please check your installation. Usually a manual installation is more reliable than doing it with the Nexus Mod Manager. Both, the em_packrideponies.esp and the em_packrideponies.bsa must be present in your Oblivion/Data folder and of course the em_packrideponies.esp must be activated in Data Files or the Oblivon Mod Manager.

It's quite some scripting necessary to set a weight limit for the saddlebag containers and to make the ponies to refuse walking if they are over-encumbered. CDCooley made an brilliant script for Emma's Packdonkeys. This even allows the player to configure the weight limit of what one donkey can carry. But this script needs first to be adapted for the ponies.

This mod is a great one. Thanks for all the horse functionalities which the original game should have involved, and some more. :)

The only issue that might have to do something with this mod ... as soon as I had it installed, even without buying a pony, when I fast traveled to Skingrad stables all the sheep there started to follow me; even fast travelling to Choroll and there into the stable building. This also happened later when I went to Skingrad again to fetch my horse from the original game, but I was able to leave the sheepish buggers again by running to the horse, mounting and darting away.
If you're sure this has nothing to do with your mod, please just ignore these lines.

The summon spell is best, as it allows me to bring them into other worldspaces where I would go without a horse otherwise. And besides, they just look like fluffy fat ponies, not like downscaled horses. :)

One note: they are extremely fast. I found this mod when I looked for a summonable horse to use in Dibella's Watch, where I wanted to ride instead of run mainly because of the landscape, and I would have preferred a bit less speed there. Same in good old Cyrodiil in certain UL landscapes where horsemeat falling down from great heights happens easily. Is there a possibility to tweak the speed?

Anyways, thanks for making this game better even after all the years.

The ponies shoud have exactly the same speed as the full sized horses. It's only that because the ponies are smaller the animation plays a lot faster to reacht the vanilla speed. So you get the impression that they are faster than other horses. But maybe it would be a good idea to make them a little slower than the vanilla speed... they are ponies and no race horses.

I absolutely LOVE this mod. I have a high level character and really enjoy being able to loot an oblivion gate in it's entirety without cheating.

I have one request, and that is that it seems to be totally stripped out (Meaning my Pony Ownership) whenever I close an Oblivion Gate. It does not matter where I put this mod in the load order.

I use wrybash, just installed, and I rebuild my bash patch every time I install a new mod. I even reinstalled Oblivion and have the same problem.

I think it might be the Oblivion Gates Re-open mod that is doing it - it EVEN TOOK ALL OF VILJA'S GEAR THE LAST TIME!!

My request is, has anyone tested this with a gate re-opener mod and NOT had it strip away your pony ownership? all the gear is still there when I buy Bob back, and he follows me around until I do... Kinda funny.

Thanks,

R

What a great mod! The ponies are beautiful and so sweet. Inge is the perfect companion for my little Wood Elf archer, Anda; and she gets along well with Nicki, the Rangers Fox companion. Inge looks so 'alive' that I keep expecting her to say something. Endorsed.
