Occasionally I have run into mods that have .bmp files in them... not knowing what to do with these (lousy Read Me file didn't mention them) I opened a few of those files to take a look and then took my best guess, putting them in my /textures folder. Another plug-in's "Read Me" file specified that at as the correct location (Data Files/Textures).
In firing up my game, I got errors, saying something to the effect that MW has found "filename.bmp", but can not use the file. My question is, what are .bmp files doing in a plug-in anyway?? I didn't think from the start that MW used the .bmp format, and now the error message seems to confirm it.
Should I just "disregard" plug-ins that have .bmp files in them, assuming that those files are just going to cause problems from the very start??

.bmp files, generally speaking, go into the gigantic dump that is your textures folder.
