Real Shelter is not directly incompatible with any mod, but for a weather mod to be supported it's weather must be recognized. If not, there are no real conflicts that would cause game instability - shelters just wouldn't activate or shelter transitions would be off.[line]

Next Projects:
- Natural Lighting and Atmospherics ENB
- RCRN AE HDR

Request list:
- Immersive Settlements
- Falskar
- Realistic Nights

This seems to work badly with a mod called Realistic Nights. With RN, I can't see anything at midnight. But when I go under shelter and your mod kicks in, the night is back to vanilla brightness. It's ok. Not really your fault. I just wish they could work together. I'll still endorse your mod, and hope they're compatible someday.

I also have Realistic Lighting Overhaul and a mod that gives nights different brightness depending on the moon phase. So it might be a complex conflict. So I understand if you don't want to figure out that mess.

In response to post #16259350.

No worries, Realistic Nights is not on the compatibility list so while you may still get shelter using it the lighting will be off.

In response to post #15751175.

I noted the mentioned compatibility with Pure Waters. I planned to use Realistic Water 2 (because the wave effects look awesome). Do you foresee these mods having any adverse reactions to each other? If you're not sure I'll just play the tester and find out myself. Thanks heaps, and I will endorse after I download.

Okay! Haven't tried your mod (but its going to be installed when compatible with RCRN AE + ENB)
Glad to see its compatible with ETaC, but what about the "big" similar mods that add new settlements instead of expand? I'm just curious. (ex. Frontier Fortress and Forgotten Settlements, 13orange (Steam Workshop), expansion packs like Moonpath to Elsewher, Wyrmstooth ect.

Anyways the only REAL thing stopping me from using this mod is RCRN which I see that it is on the list. Thanks though!
Looking forward to it and always appreciate the work you have done so far. :)

In response to post #16510059.

Also for RCRN, will all darkness settings be compatible? (Pure, legacy, ect) I only ask since the poster below me commented on something happening with the lighting.

Probably not, I can only make patches for the standard versions of weather mods. If I made support for all versions of requested weather mods it would never get done, there are just too many. Other expansion mods can be done with enough demand.

Could you please make this compatible with Vividian ENB? Vividian has a plug in that relies on COT weather patch and Pure Weathers, making them compatible with each other. It also has patches for supreme storms and expanded snow systems. Personally I use it with COT Weather Patch, Pure Weathers, Supreme Storms and Expanded Snow Systems (who wouldn't? :-) ) so I'd really love to see a patch for this version of vividian. I'm currently using real shelter cot weather patch + supreme storms and it works well but there are some weathers that look off when under the shelter (compared to what it looks like out in the open). I believe that the vividian patch modifies the weathers from cot and pw a little bit, besides just making them both work together, but I think it would mainly be a task of adding onto your current cot+ss real shelter version (so hopefully the work is already mostly done).

Thank you very much, I hope this is something that you can do.

edit: Oh, and FYI, I see you have Immersive Settlements on your to do list but that mod is going to be combined with expanded towns and cities so you might want to get a hold of Miss Jenna, the etac author, because it sounds like the first version of the combined mod should be out somewhat soon. No point in doing a lot of work if it's going to be obsolete in a week.

I endorse the Real Shelter mod, it is awesome mod.

I back the request for a compatibility patch -

The Realistic Nights mod works perfectly with Climates of Tamriel and the Realisting Lighting Overhaul.

Too bad, the same cannot be said between Realistic Nights and Real Shelter mods. Because, the Realistic Nights only works outside of Real Sheltered spots.

For example, if I am on unsheltered areas, the Realistic Nights's brightness works flawlessly. But if I go under the roof, in sheltered areas, although I get protection from rainfalls, for some reason, the nights become bright (vanilla night's brightness) instead of staying dark (Realistic Night's brightness).

I highly recommend and support the release of a compatibility patch between Real Shelter and Realistic Nights, because more and even more fans ask for the obvious:
Skyrim's nights to be dark, like real life's nights, and roofs to give shelter from rain.

Thank you, Robinsage! Bethesda could have hired you, they clearly could be ashamed they haven't implemented a Real Shelter in the vanilla game!
