This is a nice mod to begin with since it gives the player more choices that are given in the lore.
So thanks for creating this mod!
But well, I have a few cosmetic remarks on what you could change in the future. First of all, you could change the surname to the Dalish Mahariel since the elf mage that you play has still the City Elf surname. Secondly, I would give the elf a more Dalish looking robe, not the circle robe.
I also noticed that the PC elf holds an arrow even though he has no bow. This should be changed for the Dalish mage origin to some other pose.

Der Tunichtgut: Some very good suggestions. I'll see if I can incorporate them.
Although not sure what you mean with "holds an arrow", in which screen/stage is this?

It's right at the beginning when the three humans run into Tamlen and you arrive there. It shows the mage holding an arrow as if he had a bow.

Der Tunichtgut: Ah yes ofcourse, how could I have missed that. Although editing cutscenes is a little (read very much) out of my league.
I think I'll just give the player a bow like normal, then after the cutscene/conversation I replace it with a staff. Which reminds me that atm the player never recieves a staff if I'm not mistaken. *bangs head*

Wouldn't a "Dalish Mage" essentially be a Keeper's apprentice? Perhaps you would be Merril's rival? Or Merril would be your replacement...since you are recruited into the Grey Wardens. Hmmm, this idea has some promise, it does. ~Yoda nod~

There's already a mod out there that lets you do this without the dialogue problems, though. x; Great idea, but you've got a lot to work on if you plan on making it as good as 'Adopted', which lets you unlock any background with any race/class, including a Dwarf-Mage and a Dalish-Mage.

The "Adopted" Add-on does not respect the story. Allowing Dalish to use magic is only logical. Allowing Draft mage to be raised by the city elfs, is not.

Nyctipolus: Yes that was how I looked at it aswell. But more on a RP background nature than actual ingame background. As stated before, I merely intended this as a 'quick-fix' for allowing Dalish mages. I'd love to change more with regards to the story but I don't have the skills or time to do that.
About the Adopted AddIn, I wasn't even aware of it. Had I have known this I probably wouldn't have released this mod. Seeing as I never intended to make it much more than what it currently is (except for a few tweaks with regards to starting equipment).
Not sure if Adopted won't have dialogue problems (perhaps problems isn't the correct word for it) as the root of those lie with the fact the many, many dialogue options check for the "Wizard" class, not for the "Magi" background.
