This mod is a simple "drop all files in the oblivion folders and run the game"
You have to configure it's features. How? Read the readme!

Simple. GET THIS (core and standalone effects)!! Even if your rig doesnt have the jam to run this AND texure replacers, GET THIS! and OBGE Liquid Water - at mod/37825. If I had to choose I would pick this as THE FIRST aesthetic upgrade. With CrysisDOF, Volumetric SSAO and Godrays, even with just vanilla texes the game looks great!
There are links to a newer version of the Core and the Standalone Effects at the OBGE website for those that are interested. They bugged out on me so I got these versions here.

There is a slight delay on first launch for the 'key' to show up to give access to the effects. I personnally use the shaderlist.txt method to keep them loaded on game launch. One can also delete or move the unused shaders from ...Oblivion/Data/Shaders folder to keep the in game list shorter. There was a post somewhere that said one couldnt use shaderlist.txt AND the ingame support to toggle the effects. Its wrong - one can use both.
Hope you get this working cuz its BEYOND AWESOME!! IMO...
BTW - You DO have the Core AND the Standalone Effects files, and you DO know they have to be toggled ON before you see the effects, right?

is there anyway to save your obge setting when using the support plugin. i noticed when i exit the game. all the effects are gone.

absolutely awesome.
I installed Qarl's texture pack, but it made my game a tad laggy (not the best toaster), using Oblivion Stutter Removal did help a bit, but I think the majority of the lag came from slow loading.
In comes this mod. Bam. Smoother than before. Even without Qarl's texture pack it wasn't this smooth (I'm thinking OBGE took care of the slow loading, Oblivion Stutter Removal took care of the stuttering I had before).
Well, whatever the actual reasons may be, this mod is on my permanent list. Absolutely awesome stuff.

Hey all. I'm trying to use this but ran into a problem. After installing the core and standalone effects packages via BAIN, my water is invisible when viewing it from above the surface, and black when viewing from a distance. I'm using vanilla water. Can any one help?
