I've got broken encoding in HxD, instead of some meaningful text at the right side of the program I've got some unreadable characters. Any idea what should I do?

Um. According to HxD XCOMEW.exe does not exist. This maybe because I have it on Steam?

Same issue, but considering just rolling with it. We already deal with fatigue, and this is basically just an extra 2 days fatigue. Irritating but not game breaking. I don't think I want to take a whole week off, and I don't want to roll back. I really like the b12 changes, so I'm just going to start with 50 soldiers. That should be sufficient to get through anything that can happen in the next week. :)

In response to post #16081810.

How do you fix the health bug?

I'm not fixing it as much as mitigating it. Specifically: I use a cheat table to tone down the recovery times to 5-6 days (fatigued) while giving my team in missions some extra hp to mitigate what the armor was supposed to give. And for those about to point the cheating aspect here: I know. I gave up on a normal playthrough at least on this save-file (i have a perfectly ready ironman save that I'm keeping for when a stable version comes out) and am cheating my way past this game breaking bug to see if I find any other bugs that might get overlooked in this release. Like the fact them trying to fix mind-merge actualy made it so you can't mind-merge at all. Or the Saburai not updating to the Shogun on a b11 save. Or the fact that now scouts are borked, in the sense that a b11 scout gets extra perks (he keeps perks he was supposed to loose with the update). OR the fact that MEC troopers show up without customization or armor while on the skyranger.

Update on the mind-merge bug:

So I did a few more tests. It turns out you can use mind-merge, provided there are no psi-themed buffs or debuffs on your target. Don't know if this is intended or a bug now that I found out his little tidbit, but I though I would share.

Update on the skyranger and MEC thing:

If the MEC is sitting in the front seats (those nearest the ramp/where the player POV is are shown in armor and with customization. Those sitting in the rear of the skyranger are wearing their base-augments with no helmets.

Same problem here, complete jibberish with the hex editor so I guess I'm waiting for a week or so :/

Boyski, is it definitely "SteamAppscommonXCom-Enemy-UnknownXEWBinariesWin32XcomEW.exe" ??

Another weird thing/visual bug:

When I target an alien for mind-fray it shows a potential damage of 5 or 6 points of damage, yet the attack allways hits for 1 damage (if it hits).

Speaking of mind-fray

Bug report:

I reported this in beta 11 as well: shreded ammo perk on the gunner/rocketeer allows psionic gunners/rocketeers to apply the shreded debuff to enemyes through mindfray (which makes no sense). Also: shreded targets take 2 damage from mindfray instead of 1 which again makes no sense considering how mind-fray is supposed to work.

"Fixed: Using Paramedic and Smoke Grenade doesn't refresh abilities without switching to another soldier"

Now that his has been licked, are you considering giving the Battle Scanner perk the same move-action-rather-than-fire-action buff?
