Damn! What a cast of characters! You put so much work and detail into it! I am in awe.

Nicely done, Jon! Good to have a place to keep all this straight. I'm looking forward to the characters we haven't seen yet, too. :D

Are you going to put this on your site as well?

I might - the time line is there but not the images and character summaries. For now I link from my site to this post. If this post every goes away ... well I am screwed lol. I really need to print off every nexus post into a PDF at the very least to store the images and text. Most of the text I have in word documents though.

However if I write a book it won't be linked to skyrim and I have a slightly different setting although the main characters will still be around Grim and Wolfgar.

In response to post #16239730. #16247690 is also a reply to the same post.

I do something similar: I save all of my image posts as text files (.txt), in Notepad or (more recently) Notepad++, so I don't have to retype all the formatting and links and such if the Nexus ever eats them. I'm still looking for a good BBCode plugin for Notepad++, though. :)

My main method, for long stories, is to write them in MS Word for the spell check and grammar help. For images I put a place holder IMG# (so like IMG0, IMG1, IMG2, etc) and each of the images are named.

When done I past into Notepad, global replace IMG with the the url and img nested tags (empty) then upload the images to Flickr. I then past in the image locations, save and then past that all into the body of the nexus post. That way I get some handy spell check but don't have to worry about Word doing weird things to the tags.

I agree with Frank. The Shot with the Dragon is really awesome. :)

I do something similar, with placeholder text of the images' filenames from my computer (e.g., {{2014-05-24_00009.jpg}}), and then replace them with the proper URLs after I upload the pics to Flickr.

Spellcheck is a big reason I'm using Notepad++ now. Before, I typed everything in the Nexus description box, since Firefox has spellcheck in text boxes, and then pasted everything into Notepad occasionally to save. Now, I'll type it all in Notepad++ and then copy everything into the description box when I'm done. (I set the post to Hidden at first, too, until I've fixed any formatting errors or missing/typoed tags.)

Anyway, thanks for sharing all this!
