It appears that some children retain their data in save games - did you try the steps I posted in my previous reply? If not, please check out http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38712/? and scroll down to where it says ::You may have to start a new game after installing this mod::, and follow the steps listed in your current save game. If those don't work, try to see if recycleactor helps.

Thanks for letting me know! Can you try this and see if it crashes: Load any older savegame, open up the console (` tilde key), type in showracemenu. Then see if you can select a child race without crashing.

In response to post #16243580. #16252530 is also a reply to the same post.

I haven't got any older saves, but tried that, created a normal nord, and when I got into Helge keep and my hands cut free, I tried to do it, but all the same.
Now the thing is, first, I installed the normal version of the mod, then the playable children thingy, which, in the process, overwrote the previous (the tick before the base mod became a red X). Now I figured a way to have them both a green tick, the game works but at the race select menu, the chield races do not appear.
Any help on this matter?

Problem solved, when Installing the playable children part, first, no overwrite (to keep them both ticked), then when it asks about a file, do overwrite, which made it work for me.

Thanks for the mod :) now is there any guide on how to get gear at the beginning? like that Aretino gear or the fur coat?

I have the same problem, but this file didnīt solved it. I also tryed the height adjusted races patch but nothing changed.
It must be something that modifies the playable child race but that it doesnīt affect the non playable one, since all the other children seem to be fine.
Also, i have installed the XPMS 1-93a skeleton, could that be something that affects this mod?

If you have Requiem set the esps. at the bottom of the mod order. Or just try that anyway because it worked for me

No joy of perspective. Yeah, the download doesn't seem to do the trick. Like when go to choose a child race in the race menu, it will show up as regular size for a half a second then shrink down to the itty bitty version.

Ok, i created a character and didnīt touch the height. Once i finished the creation stage, i opened the console and used the command "player.setscale 1.8" and my character got bigger without messing with the height of the crosshair or the first person view. The only side effect is that now i run much faster than normal.
This might not be a solution, but it lets you play for now.
Now, if only there were a god child armor convertion around here...

That kinda works. The perceptive is still a bit high but the problem I have is going through open doors and whatnot. It screws up the clippings or something

I was having the Glowy Potato Face issue as well, due to having "Skraal Winter Clothes for Kids" (SWCfK), and possibly the USKP. Did what was suggested, when everything was underneath SWCfK, I would get a clean face but a whacked out buzzcut hairstyle with some of the head buzzed while having patches of hair on other parts of the head, like they tried cutting their own hair without a mirror and used clippers. If any were loaded before SWCfK, I'd get the Glowy Potato Face. I use a Bashed Patch, so figured that might be the problem. Sure enough, that was the problem, so I loaded the RS Overhaul for Children under the Bashed Patch, and everything works like a charm. Kids are normal, not cloned, not a glowy potato head, or have whacked out buzzcuts and not CTD's or any of the like while playing and been playing hours on end ... endorsed, thanks
