shadow rose mod



my oblivion won't open when the esp is checked, but when it's unchecked, works fine.

I also have the other armor mod from the same author, and I don't have a problem with it.

it says in the readme file that it requires obse beta 4, I installed it but to no avail.

Its probably OBSE version 18 beta 4. Make sure its that you've got and not v17. 17's listed as the last stable version but I run v18 beta 6 with no problems.
Beyond that, what exactly happens? Does it ctd? Or does it just not start at all? Clothing rarely causes issues quite this severe but if it requires OBSE its probably scripted so it could.

That mod requires a certain file to work. Not sure where to find it, something like BreakUndies.esp or BreakUndies.esm.

you're right sarya, it requires breakundies.esm and it can be found here in TES. I easily missed it because tthe readme file is in japanese.
