Does anyone by chance know of a Mac compatible compiler?
I am new to mod's and nervous to attempt to manually edit the .xml files

I can't compile Dragon Age II. (Specifically PT's and Bidelles Cosmetics.) It says there is nothing to compile...

I have Dragon Age from Steam and Dragon Age from origins... if that makes a difference...

Anyone have a compiled file they can upload or tell me what I am doing wrong?

In response to post #10076126. #10415300 is also a reply to the same post.

Hello! I am COMPLETELY new to the modding community, and know very little about the installation process. Any chance someone would be able to mentor me of the essential 'need-to-know's'?

For instance, "Ensure your paths are setup correctly." What are 'paths' and how do I ensure they're set up correctly?

Thanks in advance.

This level of hand-holding is a little beyond what anyone here is prepared to offer.

If you don't know what "paths" are in a Windows environment, then you have no business trying to mod your game yet.

Seriously.

Modding is, by definition, "breaking" the game in ways that the developers did not intend or expect.  What you are asking is the computer equivalent of asking how to custom tune an automobile when you don't know what a spark plug is.   The CharGenMorph Compiler is a utility program (like a specialized tool in a mechanics toolbox) not a "mod".  Teaching you to use it and understand what you're doing with it, would be a months-long effort even if both parties were willing to engage.

Play the vanilla game.  You'll be happier.

This compiler works great for Origins Ultimate Edition (from Steam) but even after I've set up my paths and placed some basic mods into the Dragon Age 2 override folder (based out of the Documents library, like I'm supposed to) it keeps telling me that there are no chargenmorphcfg.xml files to compile. I tested it on my DAO folder just to make sure it was working; it was. I deleted the original compiler folder and redownloaded the mod. Again, it doesn't work.

What am I doing wrong? Why won't this work for DA2? Can I seriously not use mods for DA2?

edit: there is a .xml file literally sitting along with its respective mod in my override folder (Pineappletree's Makeup Intensifier 1_0) and the compiler is telling me it doesn't exist.
