Not using "True Iron Sights" bug?

Hello! I am not sure if this is the right place, but I had an issue. With this mod, certain weapons such as the laser rifle completely block my screen when I aim with them. This is because I am not using iron sights, but it shouldn't be that way. Is there any way to fix these weapons so I can keep iron sights off, and still be able to see what I am aiming at?

Same bug here ! And with the P96 Plasma Rifle neither "true" iron sight nor "false" work...impossible to aim !

Yes, that is currently a limitation of EVE, in that it requires True Iron Sights be enable. I'll look into creating a downloadable patch.


@peozorus

There is no P96 Plasma Rifle in the regular game. If you mean the P94, then that is from some other mod (for example, Classic Fallout Weapons), so that mod would need to have its own fix applied.

Okay, so I have created the following patch. It is currently being tested. Note that this does *not* guarantee that the patch will actually be posted. However, please confirm that it is what you are looking for, and if it isn't please clarify ...


EVE FNV - True Iron Sights Disabled Patch

Description
===================================================
This is a patch for EVE v1.15a or later that prevents EVE'ified weapons from blocking the player's First Person view when the True Iron Sights game option is Disabled.

When in First Person view, the weapons will be held low and to the right, even while explicitly aiming, so as to not obstruct the player's view. When in Third Person view, the player's character will be seen to aim the weapon only while actually firing - this is a game limitation that occurs in order to have the First Person view work correctly.

Restrictions
===================================================
This patch is designed to be used *only* if the game is played with the True Iron Sights game option Disabled. It is not intended for any other purpose. Usage in any other way will likely result in undesirable weapon aiming behavior.

This patch is not intended for use with EVE "compatibility" patches for other mods such as Weapon Mods Expanded and Weapon Mod Expansion.

Maybe this isn't the place but I found another rather strange bug, I don't know if its me but I've tried "archive invalidation" and even the iron sights patch, but when i'm in 3rd person my plasma caster will only shoot the sky but when I go back to 1st person its normal. Help?

EDIT: I also don't know if this is me but the Gatling laser and Sprtel-wood 9700 sound a lot louder than needed, even at lower volumes and even when I lower the sound from the game.

Yep, the Plasma Caster thing is a known bug. It will be fixed in the next update. If you know how to use NifSkope, I could perhaps give you instructions on how to fix it yourself.

We don't affect weapon shooting volume, so that is not something for us to address.
