NewYears1978
I have just finished STEP and then installing all the mods I want. I still get 45-60 FPS with 200+ mods including all of STEP + Climates + ENB + ELE + ELFX and tons of textures and other mods.. however I can feel that it doesn't feel as smooth (even at 60 fps) as it didnt earlier in my install process. I want to eliminate performance heavy hitting mods so am trying to research what does it the most. Obviously tons of texture mods..but what about scripted mods and/or all the mods that add MCM menus..I have like 15 MCM menus in my game. With just STEP installed I still get 45-60 FPS (with ENB) depending on weather and location of course..but when its 50-60 it feels lighting fast and smooth so I know it's in some of the mods I added, or it's bogging down with too many. For reference I don't use any uGrids or many ini tweaks at all and here is my system: i7 4790kGTX 780ASUS Maxiumus VII Hero Z972x Samsung 840 Evo SSD 250gbHyper 212 CoolerCorsair Vengeance 8gb 1600mhz

I'm using frostfall and CH horse mod and they both are scripted heavy. But there was a post like yours once, your answer is just copy and paste away from you http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1465197-how-do-i-improve-my-skyrim-script-speed/ It does not matter if you have 200 mods if 60& of them are bug fixes, low res textures etc. The one you most look after are 2k-4k texture replacers (if you have many, a 4k texture replacer for hair and rings won't do much), heavy mods that change game play by adding scripts and mods that adds tons of npcs or spawns in your game are game the real butchers along with grass.
