REQUEST/CONCEPT: Custom Protective AI

Why isn't this in the game?

 

This should be straight-forward. A custom protective AI that is compatible with multi-follower mods like AFT. This AI should be very protective of the player and his allies, drawing enemy attention from others to him with unique powers and defensive abilities. The AI needs to intelligently draw enemy attention from allies being attacked. Rather to the point, now is it?

 

Anyone willing to tackle this mod?

So you mean a Guardian Angel type of thing, or an AI Package?

 

Guardian Angel sounds do-able. Invisible NPC that doesn't count as a Follower (for those who don't use AFT or UFO or other multi-follower mods or vanilla exploits) and who will cast a custom spell that sets themselves as the target of whatever PlayerEnemy has targeted the Player. Then again, to do that, the AI Packages of those enemies would have to be edited dynamically (or a modified Package swapped dynamically).

 

I can see Immersive Creatures having a field day with that - 16 Wolves/Pups getting their Packages swapped at once.

 

However, there's nothing to keep your Followers from targeting them, which causes the enemies to re-evaluate their target priorities, which causes the Guardian Angel to re-cast the focus-shift spell so they have to re-target the Guardian, while your Followers are still attacking them.

 

CTD guaranteed.

 

 

If you're looking for an AI Package, that would require adding NPC factions as Ally/Neutral to all PlayerEnemy/Predator/Bandit/Dragon/Etc lists. TES6 would be released by the time you got done.
