It is no problem with retexture, but with the GDA (nothing mentioned about mesh). I renamed all files from hf_arm_lgtb to hf_arm_lgtm but the problem is with the mesh, if I rename the hf_arm_lgt to anything else the game load only the defaut mesh, not mine. I even created a custom item in DAToolset and it appears in my inventory but still that problem with the mesh.

If I'm not mistaken, the name has to be the same exact length of the original. I don't know if you're doing that or not, but if not, then maybe that helps.

Ok. this is a little confusing, but here goes.
1- if you use DA tool, you will need to edit the MAO file. For some reason it doesn't load up all the right dds files. It's a text file so edit in notepad
2- drag the MMH, MSH, and PHY files into the toolset. The first two have two references to the original MSH, etc. Change those to your new name. the PHY only has one.
only confusing the first time or two.
# rename all files
# create the GDA to add your alternate armor type
# create that armor (alt) type in the toolset
# create a script to add to player inventory
# notepad to edit the renamed MAO
# toolset to edit the MMH, MSH, and PHY (7 changes)

EDIT: name does not have to be the same length, as long as you are consistent (change it in all files)

I've already edited the mmh and mao files for the current version to load the textures and the mesh for all light armours because they were mesed up with the default from the game.(my mesh has a different UV map and the game load a single mesh for all a,b,c,d light armours).
The problem is that I can't change the mesh name: hf_arm_lgt_0.msh, this is the defaut name.When I try to change the name, of course in the mmh too, the game doesn't load it. Thanks and I will be glad to make mord sith armours for the elves too, even more variants(Cara,Kahlan,Denna)but I must succed with making the stand alone version. I already added the armour in the game inventory but still that mesh problem.

there's also some weird clipping that happens around the chest depending on the angle that you're looking. the seams are also *very* apparent between the stomach/midriff areas & the chest/bust. i think it has to do with how the mesh is done, since it almost is interpreting that there's the dalish bikini top underneath your current retexture, if that makes sense. maybe that's even fixable in the normal map, i'm not sure.

I'm not sure how lore friendly this mod is but a non replacer version would be nice. After all it should be a rather unique set.

Ok. So i'll make an example and (if i can get a stand-alone version) i'll email it to you. shouldn't be too difficult. I've done it with several others.
2 questions
1- i don't see a .phy file? the other armors i've worked with have them. do you have one somewhere?
2- can you get me an email addr I can ship it to?
