Your ignoring my posts too:
"I knew that. It shouldn't be left to an additional patch. There is no point keeping it separate. Who doesn't have the USKP?"

Why keep it separate? There aren't solid reasons to do so. The far-future USKP merged edition isn't a reason either:

"Since I am not including the DLC dependencies (they are unnecessary), this mod would be 100% compatible with the merged update next year. Only mods that have the DLC patches as a dependency (Unofficial Dawnguard Patch, etc) will have issues. So adding the USKP as a master will have no difference to doing it in a years time. With it as a master, any changes you make to vanilla records will be based on USKP changes. Helps conformance."

I need someone or a couple of someone's to test the build. How about this. FireFreak, can you prepare a nexus ready archive with out the uskp factored in, and provide a link? I will then post it under optional downloads. I will then announce a beta run where users who, have ctds now are invited to try it. If it fixes their problem without them super optimizing it would be worth it.

The Spartan team is not a good base to test because we have the mod working great already.

I'll have to redo the split process, but thats ~10 mins of work, not too hard. Need to take a break, but it will be done soon. (my files are nexus-ready atm btw).

With the CTD's, hopefully those who don't have bloated script installs yet still get CTD's could see some help.

Let's separate the uskp from the split esm esp deal, I am not that interested in that. I am though interested in the rest , and the beta run.

my official take on this:

- no interest in merging in uskp with my mod. An extra file is fine.
- workload on me is serious problem. I cannot double my workload, would drive me nuts and affect development in a bad way. This mod evolves constantly, unlike many mods that update every couple of months or never. So how this affects my time I do to know yet. I guess I will know later.
- interested in a nexus ready archive that is the same as the present version posted, with no uskp data added . Though I would love the lvlpredator stuff ripped out.
- interested in having a public beta and seeing results. Proof is in the pudding. Very hard to continually help every user optimize their game to,a high level so they can play sot.

FishBiter: devils advocate position is welcome. This change needs to be able to fend off criticism with facts and fruit.

I think FireFreak makes super valid points, but I've been loudly biased towards making the USKP a dependent for awhile now so that's worth whatever. I think if they're not going to do the merge for a year (potentially never is my take from reading the forums) then it's a pretty good reason to do a run with this. SoT makes a huge amount of WorldSpace and Cell edits, the things most oft fixed by making files false ESM. In fact, the size of the mod alone seems to merit making Skyrim think it's like an official DLC (this is from cursory reading of the topic). The success of SKYTEST going to ESM (which I can attest to in my own game) which also does a bunch of Cell changes seems to further support FireFreaks theory on the false-esm. I don't think it's placebo the stability brought by changing to false-esm, it's pretty well documented at this point with SKYTEST, Wyrmstooth, SkyMoMo, the USKPs, ect, all doing it. Either tonight or tomorrow I'll like link* to conversations on the issue on AFK and STEP.

Edit - and this is for the guy who's literally dying to see the Melpha Bosses after seeing all the assets you get to play with!

Edit Edit - FishBiter brings up some good points too, but if as FireFreak says and it's a 5-10 min process at the end that's easy than how much does that affect your workload? That said, you've got a tried and true process in place already that's working for a lot of us (myself included, just got to level 18 and Jurgan's Horn or whatever with 249 mods). That said, potentially the ESM could speed up production letting you focus more easily on the parts of the mod you need to focus on?

Final Conclusion - I support getting the mod fully USKP compliant/dependent and 100% clean and purdy before more content goes in. I'm dying for more content, and I know Tony is too, but I think there's a lot of merit to getting this mod unbelievably freakin' stable for all systems.

Should I merge in USKP changes that don't require a dependency (that don't require USKP as a master?) Almost done with the splitting, just been doing it in between other things.

I would say ok to that, EXCEPT the lvlpredator items. By the way, where did you find the lvlprdator entries? Can't find them in tesedit.

Which version of the SoT.esp are you using that there are still non-dependent USKP issues to merge in? I already did all the overwrites that I saw, making SoT as USKP compliant as it can be without creating dependency. It's very confusing to me that you keep bringing this up as if it's a thing that still needs to be done.

@tony- they would be in NPC entries such as LvlAnimalForestSnowPredtaor, in the VMAD section. Currently what's in there is exactly what the USKP has.
