I think FireFreak makes super valid points, but I've been loudly biased towards making the USKP a dependent for awhile now so that's worth whatever. I think if they're not going to do the merge for a year (potentially never is my take from reading the forums) then it's a pretty good reason to do a run with this. SoT makes a huge amount of WorldSpace and Cell edits, the things most oft fixed by making files false ESM. In fact, the size of the mod alone seems to merit making Skyrim think it's like an official DLC (this is from cursory reading of the topic). The success of SKYTEST going to ESM (which I can attest to in my own game) which also does a bunch of Cell changes seems to further support FireFreaks theory on the false-esm. I don't think it's placebo the stability brought by changing to false-esm, it's pretty well documented at this point with SKYTEST, Wyrmstooth, SkyMoMo, the USKPs, ect, all doing it. Either tonight or tomorrow I'll
like link* to conversations on the issue on AFK and STEP.
Edit - and this is for the guy who's literally dying to see the Melpha Bosses after seeing all the assets you get to play with!
Edit Edit - FishBiter brings up some good points too, but if as FireFreak says and it's a 5-10 min process at the end that's easy than how much does that affect your workload? That said, you've got a tried and true process in place already that's working for a lot of us (myself included, just got to level 18 and Jurgan's Horn or whatever with 249 mods). That said, potentially the ESM could speed up production letting you focus more easily on the parts of the mod you need to focus on?
Final Conclusion - I support getting the mod fully USKP compliant/dependent and 100% clean and purdy before more content goes in. I'm dying for more content, and I know Tony is too, but I think there's a lot of merit to getting this mod unbelievably freakin' stable for all systems.
