this is a very nice (cute)mod, well balanced and just a keeper, one question though what means essential? and what if he dies?

Commando Ray, "Essential" is an internal script label the game uses to tell if a character can be killed or not.
Most plot-vital characters, like Dad or Elder Lyons, cannot be killed because they have an Essential flag. So instead, they are simply knocked unconscious when they lose their health.
Greenie, in the TITAN option, however, will not be knocked out on "death". His health will merely refill and he'll be fine. Additionally, in the TITAN option, if you kill Greenie, he will become friendly again immediately when his health refills.
Greenie in the CUTIE option can be killed like any other creature, and you will be notified by a message. If you accidentally save after his death, you can simply uninstall the mod, run the game and save, quit and reinstall the mod, and grab your new Greenie in Springvale.

He won't save you money on your car insurance, but he will rip your enemies entrails out quite nicely.

thanks for the explanation, one request though,
can you make a perk like ''puppys!'' from dogmeat so you don't have to reload the mod over and over...
(nd yes i accidently killed greenie wile in fight with a robot....
, stupid robots, explode with the force of an atom bomb in fook 2...)
also i wished there were more mods that ads this sort of companions (like a friendly radroach or so
they are cute)

Commando Ray,
The best thing, I would recommend, would be to download the TITAN option to make Greenie immortal. Just reloading the mod once would be enough. Deactivate the Greenie mod, run FO3 and save, install the TITAN version over the CUTIE version, run F03 and pick up the immortal Greenie at Springvale.
I had the notion to make Greenie offspring, but decided against it for a few big reasons. First, Greenie is suppose to be an extremely rare little gecko, in that he has the ability to secrete the film coating on your armor, wounds, and grenades.
Second, his character is unique as well, as he's extremely intelligent and very strong for a little gecko. He's meant to be a reliable back-to-back kind of companion, and you both look out for each other. Which is why he can heal you after eating potato crisps, and you can heal him a stimpak when he's hurt. I think it would just devalue Greenie as a character if he were replaceable.
And third, the threat of his death adds drama and the neccessity of teamwork. Same way you have to be careful with vanilla human companions, which don't respawn. But that's why I made Greenie so tough in the first place, so he wouldn't get killed every time you encounter a giant radscorpion.
In any case, enjoy the TITAN Greenie. He'll always be there for you.

I was wondering if you could change how you meet Greenie, the way you meet Dogmeat is that some Raiders have killed his master and then you can sort of adopt him. Maybe someone kills Greenie's parents and therefore he is willing to join you. Because Springvale is kinda boring imo.

Kalalokki,
I'm currently working on another, bigger, mod. I've got a few ideas about Greenie intros, but they'll have to wait, as I plan to make Greenie expandable with other mods. Such a big step would need all my attention, so for now I'm concentrating on my next mod, and then after that, I'm going to make my new mod, Greenie, and other mods expand the whole bunch. Greenie is on hold, but is the very next thing on my list to work on.
Thank you.

or another way you can find him that should be in the next greenie mod is that you find him as a egg and you can either raise him, leave him alone, or (if your kirby) eat him
and you should make a location that the geckos live

Cute lil guy, and I enjoyed his comments on my perks and such...
Just a couple things that kept me from keeping this one loaded..
He seems to have trouble on stairs, hitches walking up them, and at times fell through them to the floor beneath.
He also has a bad habit of being too attentive, slowly creeping along until that enemy nearby is found and killed, refusing to follow. At one point he just stood walking into a wall in a small room because there was an enemy on the floor above.
And if I may make a suggestion, take out the meshes, textures, and sounds and upload them with this mod so people who don't have MMM or want mods that depend on each other loaded. (I have MMM so no worries, just can create issues from time to time having dependent mods.)
Or if you'd rather not strip MMM, there's a Gecko resource here: http://planetfallout...Modder-Resource
Hope this helps
