I dont understand what altering the option like timescale and multipliers do.

I was trying to change the multipliers so i get hungry and thirsty slower but do i increase it or decrease it?

I'm not sure about timescale but you have three options with multipliers, no matter which grouping you choose. The topmost option changes which multiplier you're adjusting, and then you have increase (makes things faster) and decrease (makes things slower).
