Any quick way to find which mods use scripts? My load order is getting pretty cluttered and I'm trying to improve performance, so I figure the easiest way to deal with both issues to try and trim specifically mods that use scripts.

Open the installation .zip/.7z and open the Scripts folder within. See how many are there.

 

Anything with TIF in it is rather small, and some other scripts are as well. But basically, that shows how many scripts are in there. If there's a source folder you can ignore that.

 

If the archive only has a .bsa, you can use BSAOpt to open it and then check for what I mentioned above. But please realize that some scripts are very very small, and that Skyrim itself has thousands upon thousands of scripts (to keep it in perspective).

Also I did the steps in Mod Conflict already, the only new things installed are SMIM, RaceMenu, and Skooma Drug Effect.

Could also be my specs possibly? (I read that somewhere..)

CTD after the logo is, in my experience, indicative of a mod missing a required master, or an incompatibility issue. Open NMM and check all your installed mods and make sure you have the masters for each of them. If so, deactivate them all. Try starting the game; if you still crash, you'll need to uninstall skyrim, manually delete the entire folder, and reinstall it. If you get to the start screen, exit back out to the NMM and reactivate your first 10 mods. Repeat this until you crash. Look at the last 10 mods you activated and disable all but one of those. Try again and if it works repeat this for the rest until you crash. Whichever one you activate then is the one causing the problem.

 

I'm sure theres a faster, easier method but these are the steps I use when I have that problem.

I found the problem, it was a Climates of Tamriel plugin (I uninstalled CoT recently.) Thanks Anyways!
