I click on any of the dialogue options and the actual scene doesn't play. It's like it just skipped it. What am i doing wrong? . Help would be much appeciated! .

Hi cmessaz7!

Wanted to give you an FYI about a potential issue with the Redcliffe dialog fix.

I'm currently playing a Male Elven Mage, and when I entered Redcliffe and got the "royal bastard" conversation, I noticed something interesting. The option "You're here with me. I think I'm the lucky one." (paraphrase) showed up for my Male Mage. Knowing this could activate romance, I chose it, just to see what happened (I had a save right before to revert to) and... suddenly Alistair was showing as Interested in my Male Mage.

While many folks might like having Alistair start crushing on their Male character, I know from your description that this was not really the intent of the addition. Not sure if there is a gender check failing or what, but I wanted to give you a heads up about this, in case it causes issues for people using the mod.

I do plan to add other NPCs, as soon as I am done with this. I have another non-king Alistair fix that will be in my next version, and I am planning to change the human kiss before each scene, as sometimes it does not line up correctly. Thanks a bunch for the endorsement!

I'm not sure if this is the place to ask, but it does seem to fit in with what you are doing. You or others might not even like this idea, but would it be possible to have the Kiss option come up when you click on Alistair to speak to him, rather than having to go through the whole 'speaking in private' followed by the speech about 'being in camp' is a bit repetitious, it could still tie in with his current responses, which are sweet.

Thank you, it has always seemed a bit odd to me that after the first kiss, you have to go through such a palaver for a kiss.

I've also had another thought, don't hate me but I've started to think after getting past the first romance scene, why is it always ME that has to chase him, being all desperate and needy, couldn't the programmers have put in some random trigger that now and again when least expected Alistair could initiate the lets go to bed scene, do you think something like that would be possible?

Did you receive the screen shot showing the black line OK?

About the black line, I recreated it a couple of times and had someone explain to me that it is caused by how the game handles meshes. Certain hairstyles/colors will do that because of the light from the fire in the background. Nothing can be done about it, this is a game flaw. I recreated it in a couple other places on Alistair as well.

About the initiation, yes that would be cool. I could check into it.

About the kiss, most people in my group agree that we should keep the current one where it is, but add another option outside of the "private" tree. I wish I could snatch that little kiss on the cheek from Awakening....I am continuing to look into this as it wouldn't be hard to add the kiss, but making it is another story. I will try to figure something out.

I am continuing to find and fix bugs as well, so if anyone notices any bugs in Alistair's dialogue, please let me know.

Re the black lines, is that the same reason the finger tips and shoulders have black lines?

I didn't think in Awakening it was a kiss, I thought he was whispering something to her and she gives a slight nod as he pulls his head away, perhaps I misinterpreted the dialogue, I'll have to listen more closely next time?
