Now I don't wanna sound like a stick in the mud, but most of the male hair mods really push that anime line hardcore (I like anime, don't get me wrong, but it just seems out of place in this pseudo-medieval Europe setting). And the ones that I don't mind, the textures look quite different from the vanilla textures, often making everyone look out of balance.

So I was thinking: Can we please just get some manly hairs that don't look like they just had gallons of conditioner and gel put into it? Or quite simply, hairs with similar texturing to the vanilla hairs (Be nice if this could even be attempted with female hair).

And I ain't askin' just for short hairs here, long hair can be manly, but they need that more rugged look. Observe my friend Aragorn: http://theoaksofmamr...2/aragorn2.jpeg

And if none of this can be done, I ask for one little thing. An alteration on Duncan's hair mesh. Is it possible to remove the ponytail at the end and just have it as a slicked hair? (I notice this is actually tougher than it sounds because if you just simply remove the tail, the direction the hair is slicking would look odd)

I was kind of thinking the same thing myself. While a lot of the anime hair designs look good, I too would prefer something a little more western style. I once tried to recreate the look of Thor from marvel comics and it failed horribly since there are no long hair designs for men that don't also cover their faces.

Hey I was just thinking that too while playing a HNM for the 15th time >_>
I was thinking something along the lines of fohawk...like so: http://men-haircuts....irstyles_07.jpg

The hairstyle that's default on Alistair is the one I end up using the most at this point in time though...so I almost never use Alistair anymore, unless I'm playing a female char, but even then >_>

Hah, that's interesting, take a look at Oghren's hair mesh and it looks very similar to that. I wonder if it's possible for someone to convert Oghren's hair to fit human and elf males.

Woah...he's always had a unique hairstyle? I NEVER noticed that...but then again, I never used the little guy. Very interesting.

Haha yeah whenever I saw screenshots of him I thought he just had Alistair's hair, then when I saw him in game I was like, "His hair looks more awesome, what's the deal?" Checked the toolset, there ya go.

I hardly ever use male characters, but I'm in agreement.
I REALLY wish that I had some inkling on how to use 3d programs. Because yeah... I'd like to see something like this implemented. Especially for Qunari males, as those are becoming very popular for folks to play.

I agree. We definitely need ATLEAST Aragorn hairstyle because if we don't we'll all be lost in an abyss.
