Okay, so. I was headed north out of Chorrol to do the mage recommendation at Cloud Top. My first time on this quest. I hadn't gotten more than halfway when right in front of me, just a little bit off the path, was a giant mushroom. No, I don't mean one of the 50% larger than average ones. This mushroom could have had the entire Imperial City for breakfast. It towered over me. I'm pretty sure it's a clouded funnel cap, but it's bigger than most cities. I'm not making this up, I swear. I'm not insane. I don't think. This is THE MUSHROOM THAT ATE CYRODIIL and I think it may have been a little premature to assume the Daedra are the worst threat Tamriel has to face.

Seriously, though. WHY the hell is there a gigantic mushroom up there? Is this part of vanilla or is it from a mod? It's relatively nearby the Savior's Hollow cave from Heart of the Dead, but not close enough that I'd assume it's from that mod. It isn't inside the Hrot-whatever Vale, it's just nearby.

I'll get screenshots to prove I'm not insane if needed. There really is a giant mushroom. There IS!

Be sure it's not vanilla mushroom lol...but I can't w8 to see screenies...

*random theory* there's a tiny scratch on your game disc that tells the scale of that mushroom to be like 5,000%. I don't know the details about things like that, but it's the only thing that makes sense in my brain!

I'm working on it! I've got my PC all the hell the way down in Leyawiin at the moment and I thought I'd have a lot more time for playing this week than I did. I haven't had a chance to trudge all the way back to the Mushroom From Hell. If I don't get back up there tonight I'll just start a new game and fast travel up there to take screenies for your enjoyment.

The Mushroom's not an ingredient, by the way. I actually think it may be a stone statue shaped like a mushroom? Hard to tell, the thing's so goddamn huge that by the time you get close enough to take a good look you're already underneath the cap and it's difficult to see the top. It's definitely not an activator, though.
