12mb save file? Normal?

So, after finishing Dawnguard, the main quests, the Civil War quests, discovering a bunch of new places, and finishing a few miscellaneous quests, my save file has gone from 7mb to 12mb.

I have a little over 100 mods installed, and have uninstalled quite a few. (Before I knew doing so was a bad thing.)

I used the Skyrim Script cleaner, which removed a lot of orphaned scripts but only decreased the save file size by a few kb. Sleeping for 31 days had no effect whatsoever on the save file size.

I'm concerned about bloating because, when I enter a town or something like that, I have a short burst of split-second freezes. They only occur when I first enter the town, and once they're done, they don't continue or happen again until I leave the town or fast travel somewhere else.

It should be said, however, that my save is over 200 hours old. (I didn't really start any of the main quests until just now, believe it or not.)

I'm a very paranoid person and just wanted to know whether or not I have anything to worry about. Thanks.

Bloating would usually mean that it suddenly jumped to a enormous file size, say 50 MB, in nearly an instant. Given that you've played the game to completing a great deal at this time, it seems quite normal to have a 12 MB save file size.

Thanks for the reply - I feel a lot better now. Like I said, I tend to get pretty paranoid over things, aha.
