I'm sought of new to the morrowind sceen and was just wondering about a few
things. I've had morrowind for a few weeks now and i'm thinking about getting
Bloodmoon very soon. I don't want Tribunal just yet, but i read something that
intrigued me. I read that it is possible to get companions in tribunal. On with
the question. I was just wondering if i don't get tribunal, can i still get companions
in bloodmoon?

Thanks to anyone who gives me the info i need.

P.S. Please be nice!

No, Bloodmoon doesn't have Tribunal-style mercenaries. And as for Tribunal, it only has one, and, although there is a nifty "Companion Share" feature that allows you to freely share items with him, he will not go back to Vvardenfell with you.

However, I would strongly recommend getting Tribunal if you can only get one expansion, as it allows support for a great many mods, including Dracandros Voice, which will give you all that you need as far as companions are concerned.

yeah bloodmoon and tribunal are completely separate from eachother, u dont need one for features in the other. and personally i think bloodmoon would most likely be the better buy out of the two, as it gives countless dungeons to explore, a pretty big main quest, whereas if u wanna go dungeon crawling in mournhold u just got the sewers or... well... the sewers. :P

Yeah, but the sewers in Mournhold are huge... And the main quest in Bloodmoon is only described as epic because dealing with the horrible directions in the expansion tack on 200% to your time spent on the main quest.

And where are these "countless dungeons?" There are only two architecture types for dungeons in Bloodmoon -- Barrows and miscellaneous Ice Caves. The former is almost completely uniform, while the latter rarely has a story or any kind of unique item or event associated with it. Also, all of these dungeons, save a few that are related to the main quest, are clearly shown on the map.

And while Bloodmoon is good as a supply of interesting quests and landscape, Tribunal has quests that are both interesting and rewarding (including miscellaneous quests) and a very well done city. Also, Tribunal adds numerous additions to the engine itself, allowing for the installation of dozens of excellent plugins that would not be possible with Bloodmoon only.

Personally have both, but if I had to have one I would choose Bloodmoon. The scenery looks better, the beasties are cooler (just love that bear when he rears up - the first time I saw it I stopped in awe), and its less well, linear. Plus you get all of the features of Trib (journal etc)

Trib is cool and the extra kit is worth having and it is quite a bit more challanging at higher levels than the main game, but overall prefer BM

I was not quite so enamored with Bloodmoon. I installed it after having finished Tribunal but before the T/B patch came out, and got stung by that. I never had any crashes prior to installing Bloodmoon, and my framerates went down everywhere. Living in Maine I don't particularly want to adventure in an Arctic setting - I can do that IRL. The Rielkings and Spriggans were most annoying, and the werewolves at the end seemed, to me, to be unbalanced. I thought the cut scenes were well done, but being a werewolf was no big deal - there seemed to be no real point in it. When I kill an NPC I would like the option of looting the body, which can't be done as a werewolf. Where's the gain in that? All in all, I can only award Bloodmoon 3 stars - giving Tribunal 4.5 and Morrowind 5.

I re-installed Morrowind and just Tribunal, and am enjoying a trouble-free MW experience.

Bloodmoon is quite interesting, and it adds a completely new feel to the whole of the game that i really enjoy, so when i get bored with ashlands and the west gash it's time to head north. Tribunal though is deffinitely worth the time and money if you finish the morrowin main quest. It fills in a lot of gaps and anwsers a lot of questions behind the tribunal which made the main quest much more memorable (at least for me).

Both are welcome additons to the game and add some diversity, but it really depends what you're looking for. Bloodmoon is more expansive and Tribunal serves as a filler to patch up some holes in the original game, but the city itself is really neat and there are some nice new sets of armor and weapons that are worth looking into.
