You can also use gmax (which was created by autodesk/3dsmax) which you can DL from thier site for free. However, it lacks a lot of the functionality that 3dsmax (and even some of blender) have. As its an outdated program that they no longer support. Still, its one more free tool that is available.

You'll also need the plugins for these programs, to make them be able to handle the .msh format that DA uses. You can find those easy enough by searching "3dsmax" or "blender" in the search box here- http://www.danexus.com

While I really dont know much of anything about the functionality or usage of these progs.... I've heard that the 3dsmax/gmax plugin is much better. As the blender script has issues importing/exporting the bones, rigging, and anims from the mesh.

Edit- you'll probably also want DAtool so that you can extract the DA models from the game, so that you can get your armor to scale. social.bioware.com/project/41/

Hahaha I dont blame you. A lot of the OC stuff really does leave a lot to be desired. I definitely wish you good luck with the endeavor

Oh! If you go the route of using blender- here's a tut made by one of our own on how to do some of the stuff involved. http://www.dragonage...ticle.php?id=39

Again, good luck, hope that it all goes well
