ok, I know where to find the stones, and even have a couple. My question is do these respawn or is there a consistent source for them? I really don't want to use them if there's really only about 50 that can be used. I would eat thu all of them and not have any left and probably crying because a quest asks for one that I just used.

I have a pinned spoiler thread on Varla stones (95% complete). They do not respawn but using a few at the early stages won't hurt. As you start to make money either pay for recharging or learn to use soul gems and keep the varla stones for emergency.

I read your topic, and that's how I found a couple. I was just curious if there was a reliable source, but I see there isn't.

I guess there's even more reason to go fetch Azura's Star in this game than there was before.
