Ok when i was doing the quest where i have to get evidence for the corruption of the caldera ebony mine i freed Dahleena and now Garisa Llethri wont take the evidence or have me shut down the mine. what do i do.

You must talk to him about the Caldera Ebony Mines, not shutting down the mine or finding evidence of corruption. If all else fails, kill Ordal Helvi and Stlennius Vibato.

I believe that he's the Imperial that gives you the key.

If you want to fight dirty but avoid a political dispute, you can kill Dahleena. But please remember that violence is only the auxilliary plan.

what would happen if i talked to Dahleena after i freed her and then picked the lock?

Just start up Morrowind and talk to Llethri about the "Caldera Ebony Mines." If Llethri still doesn't acknowledge the completion of the quest, make sure that Vibato and Helvi end up in a bodybag.

If Dahleena is still there, you should try talking to her again before you kill Vibato and Helvi.

I had that same thing happen. Everything I tried didn't work, and I ended up haveing to reload and do the whole quest over.

these quests can be tricky, and you need to remember to do only what you are told to do. when asked to find evidence of corruption, find only the evidence and then report back (don't free/kill anyone or do anything else, just get the evidence). then when asked to shut down the mines, shut them down (however you wish), and then report back.
