Yes.
Relating to the article, Everything is awesome. I don't think I can sum that up better.
A few of my personal thoughts on the lore at the moment (In other words a possible explanation); Ganondorf created something akin to a Dragon Break, allowing for multiple timelines on a larger scale than even the normal series. Every possible timeline occurs, meaning every failure and victory. Once time reforms the stories told in the Chronicles of War occur, and a confused and battered Hyrule/Termina falls. This period is known as your "Last Great Time War" Items are scattered by both normal means and shattered-time, and the rest of Tamriel's history occurs. The Dwarves may find and use a few items, but close to none of them are used properly until the Dragonborn begins his journey.

That's pretty much exactly what I had in mind.
It'll be explained more in the Sundered Towers, by way of journals, but there was essentially a chain reaction involving Ganondorf's obsessions and Link's absence.
I also have to admit I'm adopting ideas from Doctor Who, like all of Hyrule's history happening at once, and some of the Relics being fossils of the never-were.
