UPGRADING EPIC RESTORATION FROM 1.1 TO 2.0Sorry, I'm still learning how to make mods. Turns out youhave to change your .ESP into a .ESM if you want other plug-insto use it. Unfortunately, that means you have to delete your.ESP to use the new .ESM file. That sucks because your characterwill lose all the Epic Restoration spells and/or divine bonuses. But fear not! By using the Upgrade patch, you can get all thatstuff back after you upgrade. Here's how to upgrade safely withoutlosing anything:BEFORE YOU UPGRADE1. Don't install anything new yet!2. Load your most recent save for your character.3. Finish anything you're doing (eg, a battle or dungeon).4. Go somewhere safe (eg, inside the College of Winterhold.)5. IF your character knows Ascend, cast it.5.a. Take all the stuff out of any and all chests in Sovngarde.5.b. Cast Ascend again to return to Tamriel.6. You might want to write down which spells/bonuses you have.6.a. That way you can yell at me if something goes wrong. :)7. Save your game under a new save file (so you can go back just in case.)AFTER YOU HAVE SAVED YOUR GAME IN A SAFE SPOT1. Quit Skyrim.2. Delete EpicRestoration.esp2.a. You don't have to delete any scripts or textures, just the .esp2.b. If you use a mod manager, just tell it to remove EpicRestoration.3. Install EpicRestoration-v2.0.7z3.a. Either use a mod manager, or drag the Data folder to your Skyrim folder.4. Install EpicRestoration-Upgrade1To2.7z4.a. Again, mod manager or drag the Data folder, same as always.5. Check your mod load order. 5.a. Make sure EpicRestoration.esm is ABOVE EpicRestoration-Upgrade1To2.6. Load your game.7. In your Powers menu, you'll see "Restore Knowledge." Cast it.The "Restore Knowledge" power will look at your Restoration skill level, and give you all the spell tomes appropriate for that level. It won'tgive you master tomes unless you've completed the Restoration Ritual Spellquest, and it won't give you Ascend unless you've completed the Main Quest. It will also look at all your competed Daedric Quests and give you the divinebonuses if it looks like you cast Renounce at the right time. The "Restore Knowledge" power errs on the side of generosity. It may wellgive you spells or bonuses your character doesn't actually deserve. Considerit my gift to you for being so patient with my modding suckitude. If you have any questions, or if something didn't seem to work, just post tothe Nexus Mods thread. If nothing else, I can give you console commands to fix everything manually. Thanks for playing! ^_^
