Got a quick question here. I did the quest collecting the 12 scales the fisherman needs in the small town outside of the Imperial City. I then robbed the guy blind and took the scales back. Thing is I didn't know the scales were considered quest items and now I can't get rid of them. They are considered stolen as well with the little red hand icon. I can't drop them, can't sell them, and the guards don't take them from me when I get arrested. Anyone have any idea how I can get rid of them?

This is technically cheating but I think it's the only way to get rid of them.
Open up the console and type this in

player.removeitem 00185FE2 12
Change the 12 with however many you have.
