Maybe you could use one of Adonnay's models for the blade? I used to like the Elven Shortsword until I came across Adonnay's weapons

Hm, I don't see anything in the description for the Elven Weapons file for 'you can distribute this'.

Well, I've seen Addonays' weapons used as a base for a few things, so howsabout I contact him and beg permission?

You go do that. I think I'll stick a scimitar blade on it, the textures look hi-rez enough.

Here's what I have so far.

Just hit one small problem.. The sword earlier had a problem of falling apart into separate pieces, and now it doesn't fall at all when Havok Sim is on. Anyone know how to add proper collision?

Edit: For some reason the problem fixed itself. Hate it when it does that.

Now that I've applied the normal mapping, it's ultra-shiny, which is something I never can get to happen when I want it to. I think it's the normal map's alpha channel doing it.

It's a little too skinny for my main character... But a great model nonetheless.

Soon as someone can tell me how to make it look more like a sword and less like a mirror, and Kieranfoy gets permission, I can release it.
