what do you ave to do to get the bounty off your head

You have to pay a guard.
Or if you´re a menber of the thieves guild they can arrange for special payment.... :ph34r:

If you don't mind cheating a little bit you could just type in "Player -> setpccrimelevel 0" (without the " 's) in the console
