Hi Im getting a brand new PC this coming week and I have lots of questions about skyrim modding.

1. When you install armor and spell mods is there anyway to give random NPCs in the world the spells and armor? Lets say I download a fire spell, can I see a random mage in a bandit camp use it on me?

2. Any mods that will let me play multiple characters? Im big on role playing and I want to say start out a character do the theifs guild then when I get bord switch over to a mage on the same file and play as him with his own level and skills. Then maybe switch back to my thief and recruit my mage as a follower with all his spells and stats in tack. (some one told me use the FF mod but I want all the npcs to be on the same file)

3.How man mods do you normally install before seeing preformace issues?

4.Any mod recommendations? I have all the major ones written down some obscure stuff would be nice.

5. When you install a body mod dose it go to every npc, just the player, or can I mix and match? Id like people to have diffrent body types and not everyone look the same.

1. Yes there's a way, but it's a bit tedious and causes compability issues with other mods. You basically have to alter the outfits and spell list of each spawnable enemy

2. no. You can port your character's face to a custom NPC follower if you wish though.

3.~150 you'll be fine, ~200 you might see some slowdowns/lag nothing big, ~250 is generally where people start hitting problems

4. Interesting NPCs, Better Vampires

Hey thanks a lot I didn't think id get a reply this quick. For question one tho how do I do it? I really only want one spell pack I can live without the arrmor. So Id like to give the npcs some new spells I think the normal ones get boring after a while.

Hmm it is generally easier to add items to leveled lists rather than spells. If you want to add spells to enemies and have them use them you are in for pretty timeconsuming project. Basically what you want to do is make a new mod that has your spell package as master and and your mod that contains leveled lists that has for a function to distribute them to your chosen enemies. Basically something like this : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51649/?

I don't really know how leveled lists are created since I have only ever edited them in TES5Edit so someone else might chime in to help you with it.

As resources I might call

and this mod which serves as the base http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34000/? you will need the creation kit.

If you use the default vanilla races and have followed the default body install everybody is going to have the same body. What you need is to use a costum race with it's own textures folder and then manually put these textures in mods folder.

Were you thinking about something like this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56093/? ?

Also Dibthelegend is right in as far as when you approach 255 plugins your skyrim has many mod interactions that cannot always be foreseen this is in my experience the main issue with the first time you approach those huge numbers of plugins. A good modder will get 255 plugins to run without any issues but the occasion ctd that is inherent to the vanilla game, hell when I got to 255 for the first time I had a pretty unstable experience but that is the fun in modding. You test you try and you modify, don't put an arbitrary number. See for yourself how much your setup can and will handle. I am sure you can kill your skyrim by installing 5-10 heavily scripted mods.

1. You can use ASIS to distribute spells among NPC's. (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18436/?). Be sure to use this too: (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53047/?) when using ASIS.

5. With this mod you can use multiple body mods and let them distribute among NPC's: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51612/?

These are mods that use a SkyProc patcher. I don't know if you know them and/or have used them but here are youtube tutorials if you need it.

#2 is possible now if you use Mod Organizer. It is scheduled to be added to NMM on the next major update. The recruiting your other character as an NPC will not allow you to actually continue the same game when you switch from one to the other though. Each player character will have their own game completely independent of the other one.
