Nvidia broke my Skyrim

I haven't been able to play since Nvidia did a driver update a couple weeks ago. I have no idea where I need to start looking to get myself back up and running.

CPU Info

Intel i7 4820k @ 3.7 GHz

RAM : 16 GB

Sys Type 64 bit

Display : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760

I use SKSE to load in .. I can't even get to the Game Menu Screen, I get the following error message box :

The procedure entry point Direct3DCreated9Ex could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Windows\system32\nvspcap.dll

I'm really quite sure my problem is from the driver update. I played the game with no issue before the driver, made no other changes in the last month - except of course updating my driver.

Does anyone happen to know what mods, files, etc are typically problematic ?

Thank you for your help. Let me know if there is any information I could provide to help narrow down this issue.

Hmm. After the above error box, I can click OK .. several times .. then I come to a different box that says Skyrim doesn't support my selected resolution. If I go to the game launcher and select options - there are no available choices for resolution - that box is empty.

There's another (big) thread on this, can't find it this quick. For some people the new version of the GeForce Experience is the problem. Uninstall it and you should be good to go (to be clear the Geforce Experience is a program and are not the drivers of your videocard :))

Interestingly enough, I tried to download and install the Geforce update since windows was offering it as an optional update. Funny thing is for what ever reason the update would never complete, something in my computer kept blocking it, SO glad my computer is picky lol. And yes, I am still able to play Skyrim :)

Yes thank you, I had seen that thread after I posted this, and also commented in it. For some reason, I am unable to uninstall the Experience though :(

try booting your computer in safe mode and then uninstalling it

This did not help :(. It was the first time I've used Safe mode in Windows 8, and it's a little different - but I finally got there. And still, I can't uninstall it :(

My guess is you don't have admin permission to do that. Another example of MS protecting you from doing what you want to do.

Nope, that's not it :(. I am the admin on the computer (actually, the only user) .. I can freely uninstall other programs - just not this one. I click on it .. nothing. I right click & choose uninstall .. nothing. I highlight it and press the uninstall/change button .. nothing.
